Pls why did you come down from the bust point by 1”!before the dart and from the full length upwards by 2” before the dart. Is it a fixed measurement?

I came down by 1” from the bust line to mark the side bust dart and I came up by 2” cause I didn’t want the dart to extend downwards. They’re not fixed measurements, you can alter it . You can decide to extend the dart downwards or just come up by 1” instead of the 2” I used .
