Actually question there ,I'm re watching again 🤣 for example when you are doing the U cut you seem to have all the lines marked on the wall where the tiles are going to fit and use your tape to take the measurements , is this just something you do or any particular reason as opposed to just holding the tile on the wall and marking the cuts , hope that makes sense ​@@thebespokebloke

Actually you have the lines done with a laser lever or two laser levels it seems

@@johnrush6581 Either way mate, I had my lines going up the wall from when I was setting the bathroom out, So I could just measure off of them.. In another scenario you may have a tile there to measure off of.. Or even use a laser like you say or holding the tile on the wall. Just as long as you are marking from the correct distance (where the next tile is or will be) allowing for your spacer joint.. You can use whichever method suits. Hope that helps mate

@@thebespokebloke fair enough, you make it look effortless with the tape , last question and I will probably answer my own question, any suggestions for measureing and marking large tiles for corner cuts into a wall, i usually do the flip method similar to you but thats not possible with v large tiles so is it just mark with the tape measure and transfer onto the tile ? Cheers

Sorry mate my planning didn't help as the tiles just are so thin I always end with a really thin cut. Any ideas how to cut an L out of a metro tile which is 1cm wide on both sides. I've broken 5 loooool

That is small lol, Don't scribe it, Just mark it with a pen.. Using the angle grinder to take it all out is your best chance. Just make sure you use something to hold the tile and not your fingers, as it'll be quite close to the blade!

@thebespokebloke legend. But it was a mission. Seriously hard work. Had one done and it slipped out my hand and broke on the floor 😡. Ended up doing as you said but scored with the grinder down both lines then went 45 degrees from the edge to the long vertical to slowly pull parts out and release tension from the main line. Went thicker then with edge of the grinder slowly edged it thinner. Never again

@@Bull_sheet_Bob Depending on which one you have, The "better Plus" Rubi has a tighter breaker which I think is rubbish compared to the non plus which is looser. I never used to buy the plus models. But in general with that style of breaker compared to the Sigma push down type, You can always get that where it puts to much pressure on that end of the tile. You could scribe them and break them in your hands, or just go easy when you pull the breaker.

@@thebespokebloke I have tried everything. Its more confusing because some of them break perfectly and some break with a chipped end.

@@Bull_sheet_Bob I have had it before with certain tiles with them cutters, it's just where the glaze is quite thin. It's just unfortunate sometimes. Only other thing without getting a different cutter, you could do is to angle grind them, If you've tried all else mate
