Last time I got my hair cut, the hairdresser literally said "I don't know a lot about cutting bangs". That's such a basic thing to know and it was alarming. She did an okay job on them, but they weren't as good as this. Still better than the person I went to before who literally twisted my bangs together, snipped them, then point cut them to even them out. They were rounded so I couldn't move them side to side at all. I also asked for face framing layers and she proceeded to cut layers through all of my hair, creating a sharp V-shape in back. 🤦‍♀️ I had to go to someone else to cut off 6 inches of hair to get rid of the V.

I've watched many hair dressers cut my hair over the years. So I know what I was looking for even tho I didn't know the exact technique and why. You spelled it out very clearly. I took the Nestea Iced Tea plunge and cut my bang/fringe. I was relatively happy, so I made myself stop. When they grow out, I'll review your vid again. Suffice it to say, I'm very very happy with my current results. You have the teaching technique down. Many who have done 'pro fringe cut' vids are pros in their own view only. I know all these methods yet never learned them, I just know! Layered my mother’s hair beautifully when I was eleven. Always cut my own hair and my kids’ hair. I wanted to thank you for the instructional video because it’s given me more confidence that I’m doing it right. What I’m not so great at are waves/curls. Could you do a tutorial on those, as well?

I did this and it worked! Makes a MAJOR difference! I combed my hair straight up and removed all the "weight" that stuck out and the results are incredible! I LOVE it. And I did it at home! Thanks a million Salonguy! Oh and I didn't even use thinning scissors like you did at the end. Just removing the "weight" that you said...the results are great!

One of my college friends (6'4', red hair, 300 pounds and very theatrical) was given a hair salon by his lovely and well intentioned parents. He was cutting a clients bangs, combed them down over her face and with a grand flourish snipped off the tip of her nose along with the hair. How many years have you been cutting hair ? I absolutely love your techniques. You're very artistic and I love how you are so confident with those shears. The lady that cut my bangs cut them straight across and they look horrible. I just watch a video on how to fringe my bangs by Adriana Braje.My daughter had cut my bangs a few days ago by gathering them all together and then twisted them all together then she cut the ends off then she combed them and they were so crooked but she then cut them trying to make them straight but they still didn't look right.So I followed the steps Adriana showed and cut them myself and they turned out great.I do love how you show the different ways to cut bangs and you show how simple it is do each style.When my bangs need to be cut again I will come back and watch your video and try your steps because I do like to switch different styles on my bangs.I have a large forehead and need bangs to hide it.Thanks for sharing your video.

here’s another tip, the smaller the triangle, the more piecey the bang. ur bangs might not naturally part there but i personally don’t like a thick bang because it breaks up the face. i am a licensed cosmetologist but it’s just another idea because i gave my mannequin bangs and the thinner bang is much more flattering on her. also, don’t use a curling iron on your bangs unless if it’s a two inch with a clamp. if you don’t have one, you can use a round brush. wavy hair is generally the best for bangs because it makes that round shape easier than curly or straight hair will without styling. i’m not saying that people with curly hair or straight hair need to style their bangs a certain way, it’s just what i personally like. always cut your bangs longer than anticipated because they can shrink up. curly hair shrinks up about an inch to two inches for caucasian curls and african american curls are probably best to be cut dry as they shrink up much more typically. keep that in mind no matter your hair texture though.
