Great video! We don't get pre-cut country style ribs here in the UK so was looking to go DIY from pork shoulder. Your video was exactly what I needed. Thanks!

I buy pre-cut Country Style Pork Ribs at least once a month. I currently pay $2.79 a pound (Dallas, TX).For about $32 worth at a time. . I cook them in an Insta-Pot for one hour under pressure. Then I shred them. That $32 makes 20 each, 4 ounce servings; which I put each serving in a zip lock sandwich bag and freeze. I like one of these 4 oz servings, nuked, with BBQ sauce. Very yummy and fits right in with my Keto/Carnivore diet. I used to buy pork shoulder w/bone in to get pork for $2.48 a pound, but the extra deboning work to get the same net meat was a wash.

I thought country style ribs had bones in them?

If they're cut at a processing plant where it's done with an electric band saw, there can be bones in them. The band saw doesn't care if bones are in the way, as long as they end up with something that looks generally "rib-shaped". But cutting them at home with a knife, the bone is much more of an obstacle. But to my knowledge there isn't any rule that says they must (or must not) have bones in them.

For better results please invest in a boning the blade is long and thin

I have a couple good boning knives that I mostly use for processing venison. For large hunks of meat like this, my santoku chef knife does a very nice job.

could you get a bigger knife lol

Certainly, but this is my favorite knife right now so it's getting a lot of use!
