Maybe you could use an old cutting mat to sandwich your die ? Will give it a try and comment later .Pasta roller ? a very great idea thanks

Hello, thank you for the tip! I've tried this and I found out that, for me, this works better if you put your die & paper between 2 sheets of 0.5mm PVC (on smaller settings, like 3-4, depending on the paper)

Sorry, I do not understand what pvc sheet is, is that like the plastic "wood" some carpenters use? Do you think the replacement plastic sheets sold for the machines will do? I want to try this but have no idea how to do it. I have an old pasta maker that has been stored for years! Need a hand on tutorial doing this! ANYONE? PLEASE!

Thanks Nema they actually have real small cutters now on ebay here is a link to what I found. I think you mean "step by step tutorial" this is a demostration. Thanks for the idea, I thought about this, but dont know how to do it, would you be interested on doing a tutorial? I need it! Have a pasta machine stored for years and if this is a way to use it I would spare me some money buying a machine, would rather buy the dies!

All we did was get 2 thin foams & we placed the colored paper with the dies in the center of the foam. It is kind of like making a sandwhich. Then we adjusted the setting to where we can run the foam and dies without breaking the pasta maker. You will probably have to adjust yours according to the size of your foam. We also used small dies so it will be quick to run it through. I hope this helps you as you try it on your own machine.

Well I need to perfect my technique and take care not to break through the "sponge" and it bend my dies but woo Hoo this method really works!! I have been trying the rolling pin method and it just doesn't do it, one attempt with this and it was straight through (luckily not as far as the roller!!) but thank you for finding & showing us this tip.

Jaywhy that is an idea I never would have thought. Then I got an idea maybe a piece of plexiglass might work in place of the foam sheet. Just a thought I am loving your channel.

I have one. It works just with simple shapes, while with intricate dies it doesn't. How can I fix that? Thanks!

You will probably have to check the settings on the pasta machine and play with it. I am just using small dies on my unit. It's the knob setting that you will need to adjust. Other than that if you can afford the BigKick, We R Memory Keepers, Sizzix, Gemini or Cricut those are some of the best. Have fun with you machine :) & take care

No I have not tried chip board but the ones I do own are a little too thick for our pasta machine. Our maker is small that's why I suggest to use small die-cuts thanks for watching ^_^
