I like it, I have weird plans for this idea but the way to cut it looks really easy. I do want to recommend muting the audio when using the saw and maybe using some sort of back ground music just for viewabliliy

Why not use gutter ? Has the supports , spikes or screws and end caps if wanted

Good question. One reason the horizontal supports inside a gutter gets in the way. Second this sits nicely in its supports can be lifted, tipped to clean debris out and put back in place in 2 seconds.

Why not just use a 10' section of pvc plastic gutter you can get at any big box store?

legitimate question. For me I had it on hand, it is cheaper, but most important the perfect cylinder guide the grain to the bottom middle and there are no 90 corners that are harder to get the feed out of. A gutter would be an easy slightly inferior option.

Don't ever cut a short piece of pipe on a miter saw it pulls in and will cut your fingers
