I got the 3,4 and 5 inch traditional templates and they work fantastic. A must for trad archers who like to get the most out of their full length feathers!

This is cool! Thank you. I have the mat and cutter already. Just waiting for my templates to arrive. I had to choose the most expensive and hard to get feathers for my arrows, and cutting them was seemingly daunting. Not now. I do quilting sometimes, so am already ok with a rotary cutter. So this just confirmed I will be ok. Again, Thank You!

Awesome! I have always put off dealing with making my own feathers because of the expense and hassle of using the usual feather chopper/burners. Thanks

I've not yet thought of fiddling around with make fletching shapes. Sounds like something to try out. More traditional arrow making would be much appreciated - many talented longbowers are often envious of the fact I build my own, to which I willingly share the little that I know. I seem to do an ok job; different approaches may teach me better or more efficient means. Also (not so much for me) modern arrow maintenance would be popular - for recurve variants and compound.

You can most certainly get two 4-5" fletchings from an 11" feather. You just need to thin out the quill, Jim! You can easily do it on the clamp of a fletching jig with a razor knife.

Funny I cut my feather with Legolas shape (I did my own based on thr props from LOTR because lot of "legolas shape" are wrong)... The groove on this template is very useful (I need to makone on my own). My advice about complex shape... nice cutter but a smaller one fit better ^^ trust me. Thanks Jim to be back, to show us some cool tools abs thank you to be... you :)

Looks like less of a hassle than the chopper I've been using.
