using masking (painting on mask) vs paths tool? just preference or do you think one has advantages over the other, which would you think is faster in making selections? and like other comments here have inferred, your tuts are fun, QUICK (thank GOD its so refreshing, i get content makers trying to hit the youtube formula in regards to video length and watch times but it can be pretty nauseating to have to push through 'filler' to get to why you're watching - you definitely arent about that which is great and deserves 50% more Likes just for that)
@TutsByKai3 жыл бұрын
Good question! Masking is much less precise in my eyes. I'd rather just do it by hand and get it exactly how I want it, rather than GIMP deciding where all the edges are etc! It CAN be very useful if the object you're masking will be scaled to such a small size that you won't be able to see the rough or messy edges. But in 90% of my cases, I'd rather do it manually! And aww, thank you so much. Yeah, the reason I started creating tutorials in the first place is because I got tired off all the fluff and gatekeeping of learning for free. I just wanted to create tutorials that were exactly what people needed to know. Not me trying to make myself sound smart or sell you my new model pack on Patreon. Glad you enjoy

Bro I've been practicing cutting for an hour now and every single time I do this when i'm done it shows an extra line or two that I never made that cuts right into the picture., so I tried going around the box when I hit a corner like you did and now it just gives me extra parts of blank white because I went around. Its driving me crazy!
