How to cut-paste (or move) files on Mac OS X

One might wonder why Apple keeps calling Mac OS X the most advanced desktop OS available while there is no cut-paste feature in the default file browser. Well, the trick is hidden under the nose (or a keypress, if you wanna call it that)! See the video to learn the trick.

Command + C ( copy ) ---> go to the destination ---> Command + Option + V (Moves without copying)

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It is such a simple action, but one I had no idea about. FOR YEARS. I feel so dumb now. I had just assumed that this option of cut and paste wasn't available on Mac. Then I decided to look for it... Damn. I had found a plug-in of sorts that permits cutting files, but I couldn't make it work on my Mac (I'm not very savvy on tech issues). But then I found this video and it saved my day. Thank you a lot. You are a hero, sir.

sounds like you havnt learnt enough to be in charge of your own exercise . For every time you need a command search for it until you them all .

Control C, control V is seamless in Windows.. When I work using Mac, I'm too embarrassed to ask how to do a simple task, move files to another folder.. But.. in some things, using Mac is easier, like editing or designing..
