Hey Jake, interesting way to use the stock form. One thing you forgot to mention for people who are still learning about this stuff is that, unless their template/head shape is completely symmetrical, they'll need to turn the template inside out before placing it on the system or else they'll be cutting the system in a mirror image to what their head shape actually is, making the system not fit properly.

Good point. We will let Jake know about this. :) Thank you.

Hi Mark, thank you for pointing this out. This is very important to get the base cut correctly. So when we use this hard plastic shell to make a template and then cut the base, if we make sure that when we copy from the old hair system and when we cut the base for the new hair system, we place the hair system base up on a mannequin head for BOTH hair units, we will get the base-cut correctly, right? Instead of cutting it in a mirror image. Am I correct? :)
@markie746564 жыл бұрын
@@LaVividHairSystem I think I understand what you're saying.. but please confirm if I'm right or not. Are you saying that to copy a current hair system's shape, if you turn that system upside down (lace facing up) on a mannequin head then put the plastic on top of that system and trace out the shape, then the plastic won't have to be turned inside out when using it to trace out the shape on a new system, then you're correct. You won't get a mirror image from that. However, if someone was using the hard plastic to trace the shape directly from their scalp, then they would have to turn the cut plastic inside out in order to avoid a mirror image cut on a new system.

What if it's your first hair system and you don't have a previous one to stencil the template from?
@TripletDadLife2 жыл бұрын
Several ways to make a template. You can use the hard plastic shell that it came with. Shave top of your head and get your template. Place hard shell on top. Take sharpie and draw a perimeter around your head where the skin meets the bio hair. Create your own front hairline and BOOM you're done. Another way is to use saran wrap, place on top of head, make a perimeter with sharpie, then apply several layers of heavy duty clear tape on top of saran wrap while still on your head. After that remove template and cut the path of the sharpie line.

This system is what we need advancement on. It is by far the best. If we can get the poly in the front to .03 with quality poly tough material, with lifted injection or vloops in the front. And be able to pack the density on .03 to a medium or medium heavy density. I think its possible with a thin super fine Swiss middle. Both are thin enough. I want to make a custome, but it would be a hit just like .05 poly all around with french middle on your website. If not the best system hair world has ever seen.
@LaVividHairSystem4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the valuable advice. What you describe is an ideal system for sure. However, there is technique issues to use .03 poly in the front because the poly that connects to the lace has to be a bit thick, so the base can be strong but it is possible to use thick poly in the connection area and decrease the poly thickness gradually to 0.03 to the very front. Also injection cannot be performed on a 0.03mm poly. Vloop is the only option for a .03mm poly. :)
@joshgates26714 жыл бұрын

Hi Lavivid, I think this video has the potential to ruin people's hair systems when cutting at home. Most people don't have a symmetrical hair loss pattern and the way Jake is cutting the system will cause it to be a mirror image rather than fitting the head. The best way to cut a new system to size is to fit it onto the head and then cut off the excess. A 360 mirror can help someone doing this alone. Perhaps you should remove this video to avoid causing anybody to make this mistake at home?
@LaVividHairSystem4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you so much for your message. This is a very good point. Actually Jake didn't show in the video how he copied his template from his old hair system. However, if you make sure that when you copy the template and when you cut the new hair system, you turn the hair system base up and put it on a mannequin head for BOTH systems (the old one and the new one), you will get the base cut correctly, am I right?
@darwinhardin18782 жыл бұрын
That's all wrong sorry 😞

I agree. Why not use a white pencil and go round the plastic template with it then cut it with the blade. No need for the drawing pins and the system needs to stretched slightly when you run the blade along to cut it easier. He’s over complicating throngs here
