Carbon arrows really need to be cut with a high speed blade....

FYI, Use the cardboard packing that comes in the arrow boxes to make support for the arrow shaft. Lay the drill on it’s side, and support the arrow in the middle and close to the fletching. At least that’s how I’ve been doing it, with good results.

You cranked down on the pipe cutter to aggressively. Some people shouldn’t try this method. And should buy an arrow cutting setup, or have someone cut them for you.

So you let the drill hold the part to be cut? And not the other way round? I mean why not hold the useable shaft with the drill bit

Also not a perfect cut with a hack sack. The angles are difficult to keep 90 with a hacksaw.

You can use sandpaper to correct angle

Be safe... dont ever use a pipe cutter for cutting arrows. The risk of splintering and splitting is too high. Dont use it for aluminum arrows either.
