The little white plastic things are nylon oring backers. Nylon backer rings are used in conjunction with o rings in high pressure fluid applications to prevent the seal from extruding through gaps during cylinder wall stiction, Critical to the correct functionality of juice. When Seating the oring/backer you must be careful when initially inserting the ram into cylinder. These both can shear very easily during this procedure. Also, Use plenty of clean oil to lubricate during entire installation process & mitigate any contamination risk (i.e cleaning dirt,grime, grit on components & work zone) to prevent potential premature catastrophic failure with the low low constantly leaking. A leaking seal can starve your system of fluid causing pump heads to run dry and literally shred to pieces. These must run wet or subsequent failures WILL happen. Hope this helps.

videos are very helpful .I have a leak from one of my back cylinders. can you show how to take the cylinder out from the car tnks

guadalahustler already posted a video about that, here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3Scd5ZjhNunpLs it varies from car to car but it should help.

is it the same process for the back ones? .tnks
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS7 жыл бұрын
guadalahustler similar. Dump the rear all the way, disconnect hose from cylinders, take a floor jack and jack up the back of the car on the frame. The cylinder will start to pull out of the spring purch, it may pull all the way out so you can disconnect them by unscrewing them from the power balls if you have swivel balls, once unscrewed from swivel balls, should be able to pull the cylinder right out. May be difficult to unscrew them from the swivel balls. Follow same steps to replace O rings. If your cylinder are tall enough and sticking through the deck enough like 5 inches or more, you can simply unscrew the cylinder casing and slide the outer portion of the cylinder off to expose the inner cylinder and change the o rings from there, just have to make sure you have enough room to do it that way. Most of the time you have to pull the cylinder out to do it.
