Quality disassembly video once again Pheas, they seem to have strengthened the barrel support on these, they always had a weak spot there. Also those damn small nubs in the fire selectors, the hours I've spent on my knees looking for those damn things, with no luck! Only to hear them sucked up by the hoover a week later.... To be fair to Cyma, from TG, and under a hundred delivered, I was happy when I got mine, and for that price, you can't moan too much. Cheers for the upload Pheas, keep up the good work, and thanks for the effort to share and upload. Top man.

I also have this gun but then the drum mag version. To disassemble it was like the same way as in the vid but…. I wanted to assemble a lighter spring a m95 spring from ASG. And men this was a pain in the a**. When I wanted to close down the gearbox all gears where stuck, I couldn’t move the gears with my finger underneath the gearbox where the motor is in. After rewinding the video a few hundred times I saw the problem (I think). The nozzle on the gearbox has a plastic lid this lid was not sitting behind the tapper plate. I think that this was causing the gears to be stuck. I finally got it working again thnx for the tutorial Pheas.

Just received both the M1A1, & the M1928 Chicago Typewriter, as well. Was wondering how to take them apart for maintenance & cleaning. But noticed that these are built in a way that probably won't really get very dirty. Not surr wich one I like more, their both amazing & awesome to me, but, sometimes like having that wooden vertical foregrip coming off the barrel, with the nice original capacitor on the end, & the finned out barrel, for the barrel cooling ability. Obviously, those really only were relevant on the actual Automatic Thompson's. Lol... hahaha... But still, something about that look that I like more. But they both are very accurate, & very fast, & dependable when shooting. I had bought an extra drum mag for the M1A1, & also like 2 extra 60 round stick mags, as well too. Love these babies,got em for collectors reasons, as well too! Great video my friend. Any advice, or input is always appreciated, as your very appreciated,& thank you again 👍🙏

I love the typewriter one! Just looks awesome especially with the drum on them! Slightly jealous ha ha ha! If they are running in a way which you are happy with, then I wouldn't worry about anything else. I tend / try to only tinker if there is something I want it to do better. I was fairly happy with the thompson we had! For me, longer term I think a hop rubber and maybe a tight bore barrel, but I wouldn't do it until the rubber was needing it to be honest. Glad you are liking what I am doing though! Pheas

@@PheasAirsoft Hey, whats good homie, thanks for the reply my friend. Lol... Bahahahaha... Yes, im very lucky that I have these awesome guns, & definitely very grateful for sure. Im more of a Steel BB type of guy usually. Just landed the Crosman DPMS-SBR- Semi/Fully Automatic Blowback steel . 177 BB Gun. Its friggin badass, & really fun to shoot. I went all out, & bought a red dot, & flip scope to work with the Red Dot sight, as well. Also scooped up a Mock Silencer, & an extra clip, as well too! I didnt realize that they sell the mock silencers in two parts, & if you dont even know to ask for the filler sound proofing foam, then you only get a hollow silencer shell technically. So, I cut up some DJ sound proofing foam, for studios, & crammed it inside if the mock silencer. Wich added some weight, not to much, but enough to make it feel more useful, or at least it doesn't feel completely fake now. Also got a vertical foregrip on the picanny rail, as well. Friggin love that gun also! Its awesome to shoot it in Fully Automatic mode, & also to fire single shots, as well too! Just been working on making the accuracy more on point, when in Fully Automatic mode. I'm starting to wonder if the mock silencer is messing with the accuracy lately, where the mock silencer makes the gun into a long barrel gun, rather than the short barrel compressor, that originally comes on the BB gun. Almost wondering if id be better of without the mock silencer, & simply use the regular set up, where it seems like the accuracy is way better, with the original set up. Just looks really cool with the mock silencer on the SBR. Lol... I'm definitely gonna want to hear more about how you would bring the A-game, on my Thompson's though, cause even though im stoked with how it works already. I would like to definitely bring out the best with these guns. I know that there both fully metal bodies, full metal gears, & gearbox! So it definitely seems like its got the ability for upgrades, for sure. I wicked love the way that these guns simply look, & feel to be honest. Their my first Airsoft guns ever, & I wasnt sure if I was gonna like the difference between both the Airsoft guns, & the .177 steel BB guns.... 👍🙏

Excellent video. I'm new to airsoft and my Thompson suffered a failure during its initial run. Seems that the motor leads in the grip got too warm, melting slightly which shorted against the motor case. Would not have been easy to figure out without your guidance!

Do you think changing the secondary tamiya connector shown at 3:27 to deans would further increase performance rather than just changing the one at the back of the stock?
@PheasAirsoft
@PheasAirsoft 3 жыл бұрын
Hiya. The JG G3 I have is the same style of wiring, a mini tamiya out of the back of the gearbox onto an extension cable ending in a mini tamiya. When they are brand new there is little different between them and deans, over time with the insertion the pins open up the female pins and the connection gets weaker, I would say that it might be a tiny improvement doing just the one on the back of the gearbox to deans, but longer term doing both would be significantly worth it as you are not loosing the quality of contact over time, based on some initial measurements by Kadamski on my discord, there is less than 1 round per second difference initially, longer term, depending on the lowering quality of the connection, it could represent a bigger gain as so much was being lost . Hope that helps. Pheas

Nice video, thank you! I order Cybergun version as it should be the same but only with official markings (it was only 3€ more expensive than CYMA) and I ordered with it, metal bushings, shims, active break mosfet and 120spring which I might not use, since here in my country there is limit 450fps but I´ll see when I seal it, shim it, regrease and make R hop what I can get from stock spring One question, since I never upgraded weapon before and it´s not shown on the video... when I want to dissasamble hopup, do I simply remove screws and it should come off or is there any trick there? Thank you and again great video man!

Hiya, once you have access to the hop unit, there is a clip that is part of the hop unit, that you pull out (bit like an M4 barrel clip) and then the hop unit will slide off the barrel (will need some working off) make sure to unwind the hop first. Pheas

Hi Pheas. Have you had any problems firing semi-auto? A couple of times, mine stopped firing. I switched to full and back and it worked again. Wondering if it's just mine or a common problem. Thanks. I'd like to upgrade mine, but not confident enough to take it apart. Another great video.
@PheasAirsoft
@PheasAirsoft 3 жыл бұрын
Hiya! Its a common problem at times with any gun to be honest. The gears can over spin slightly which, if i remember correctly, causes the cut off lever to lift up partially stopping you from firing as you cant move the trigger trolley, so when you flick it to full auto, it moves the cut off lever full to allow firing. If you are using an 11.1v lipo you could go down to a 7.4v and that should help, or you could get a mosfet fitted with active breaking as it should stop it going round after the shot is completed. If you are in the UK, I do tech work and happy to chat about if I can help you with any of it! Pheas

@@andrewmayne2437 Hiya! If it was mine.... I would look to put a tight bore barrel in it and a better hop rubber for that better range and accuracy, then I would look at an active breaking mosfet as it can make a big difference to the gun and its operation, then maybe look at a better quality motor. Thats all I think I would do, other than just replace anything that broke over time! Pheas

@PheasAirsoft
@PheasAirsoft 3 жыл бұрын
Hello! This one is a plastic lower, it should be fully compatible with the King Arms, not 100% about the snow wolf would expect that it would also be compatible too. Also for us in the UK, this had to be pre-downgraded to UK limits, so the out of the box ones from CYMA will be higher FPS. Pheas

Hiya. Unfortunately I didn't get to do it. Someone wanted this off me and wanted to do the work. They replaced the O-Ring in the piston head to improve the airseal, then they replaced the air nozzle with an o-ring type air nozzle for better Airseal on the cylinder head, this lifted it up a fair bit. You could also change the spring, but it's better to get the consistent Airseal first and then see what that puts you, then upgrade or downgrade the spring as needed. Pheas

@PheasAirsoft

Hiya, glad you liked it! The Cyber gun / king arms one seems to be a TM clone as well (like this one) so in theory they should be generally compatible with each other, so you should be able to source their wood kits and fit it to this.
