Just for info, the stands at 02:25 and following are made by American Grip with the Dana Dolly specifically in mind. They are not Combo stands because they have a Junior Receiver, but no Baby Pin. Matthews and Kupo make competing slider stands.

Thank you, I love this. It is a completely honest first look, with all the pro-s and cons of the system. Alex, you did a great job. Some notes: the pipes have a very high tolerance thread, and that means the first couple of times they are screwed together it is a little challenging. After that, the pipes should develop some memory, so it's easier. Also, Dana Dolly and Miller have been working together and now it is not a problem with the tie down. Everyone is working together to help our filmmakers. The American Grip Stands are hard to find, but they are the best. Thank you for your honest video. It would have been very easy to cut the struggles, and I think it's more honest this way. Probably the best how to on social media.

First, thank you for the kind words! The Dana Dolly system is phenomenal-nearly every production company I work with either has one or two kits in their inventory or rents one for every job (until ultimately buying their own). Your notes on the threading make absolute sense-once they’re mated, the track is seamless. I may try applying a small amount of clear pipe-cutting oil in the future to assist the thread memory. One day, I would like to create a revised tutorial. This was completely improvised and created solely to satisfy an assignment for a college course. However, I do see the value in objectively documenting real-use cases of industry equipment! -Alex

What do you mean by they work with miller for what element of the system please explain? Also the Matthew’s stands appear to be wider (they are 2 pounds heavier ) thus appear to be more study and the design at the bottom of the Matthew’s introduce less rattle than the bottom part of the American grip Dana dolly ones ? What’s your take on this ?

Швеллеры с зажимными хомутами надо наоборот переставить! Чтобы "труб-рельсы" опирались, а не пытались "растянуть хомуты"! Надёжнее!!! The channels with clamping clamps must be rearranged the other way around! So that the “pipe-rails” are supported, and do not try to “stretch the clamps”! More reliable!!!

I have also built this house but during video shooting, tremors are felt in it. Do its wheels work less in cold weather?
