I have made several of these today and they're so fun to make. But I gave up on my Martha Stewart heating tool, too weak. I found a simple candle flame does the trick nicely. It doesn't scorch the material at all. Even when one of my beads caught fire, I blew it out quickly and it still looked fine, no black marks, and I learned to keep the bead out of the direct flame, LOL. No need for a heat gun, I'm returning mine tomorrow. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!

Hi MIni, some people say that their hair dryer gets hot enough for this and others say it doesn't. I'd give it a try with your hair dryer first and then go from there. I know the heat gun works wonders and is super quick.

Tyvec is a non rip plastic that they use to surround houses and make mailing packages. It looks like paper, but it's actually plastic.

The Unhappy Mermaid They are non rip envelopes that you can get at the post office or Fed Ex uses them, too. They also wrap houses with it.
