Mate, you need to change your post. You cannot suggest for people to put a towel in the bottom. I nearly burnt my house down doing that and I am not kidding. Thank goodness I got to it in time but seriously, perhaps it is a good time to review this. I don't normally write negative comments to posts but this WARNING should be in place. Once I had the towel removed, which was very difficult to do because the pot was half filled with water and already warm and fortunately I was close to the sink so managed to submerge the smouldering towel into water straight away. I also read that it will void the warranty if one was to do this. What I did next was to warm the water to the low temperature, switch the unit off and insert my jars into the already warm water and just warm the water up again when the water has cooled too much. Slowly the crystals are starting to dissolve.
