Natalie doesn't have to survive the turn to get the achievement so you can just have Matt give her the can instead of having Lance do it. That way you don't need to worry about having a second turn for Lance. The exp from the battle is pretty minimal anyway.

sadly no you cant do this without the golden star ,if you want to get it so bad i think you should set the difficulty settings to easy then fight the boss to get the golden star

you can also refight the boss so you can still beat them in epic difficulty
