Just wondering, if a wife comes in for therapy for her husband's toxic behavior, is she also advised to examine her own conduct to see if it is contributing to the spouse's behavior? Or is accountability just for men?

How is this a thing..?? Talk to your wife? Use feeling words be calm, be honest. Thats the problem. What happens when that is the problem.. you talk use feelings use calmness and after youve talked she does it anyways?? Talking creates bigger wounds since after talking she does it with no excuse and it hurts more..

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this. If you've tried talking to her and done everything you can from your side to help heal the relationship, and it's still not working, you need to prioritize your mental well-being. If your wife isn't interested in working on your marriage, and you're constantly unhappy, then you should consider separation. I would recommend trying counseling before taking this step, though!
