I’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety for the whole rest of my life..And then, I started dealing with suicidal thoughts since I was only 10..I tried jumping off of something very high..When I was 11, I started to deal with insomnia and at the age of 14, I stabbed my own knee with a piece of glass from a frame that I accidentally broke while playing with my cousin...Now I’m 15 and 1/2 years old and I did some harmful stuff like a few weeks ago...I feel so bad about this..So I definitely know how y’all feel...

I have anxiety level 4 (aka the worst one). I have unexpected/random anxiety attacks and i think i learned how to control them in the past months. My best friends always tell me that i should just get some time for myself, to take care of myself more, but i feel like it doesnt work for me. I never put myself on the first place, because i honestly find my happiness in my loved ones' happiness. One thing i learned is that you cant avoid it, but you can control it, and get over it. It takes a long time, but you can. Solve it before you do something that you will maybe regret. Remember that you are not alone. You are loved. I am sure of that. Stay strong guys, have a good day♡

I can’t say that I understand completely what you’re going through or where you’re coming from but I do understand how just taking time to yourself doesn’t help you feel better, it helps to know you made others feel good about themselves and made others happy. I love that you’re trying to spread awareness and help people but I’ve already done things I regret, but I’m trying so hard to recover and to not fall in that hole again.

It means so much to me that you made this video and that other youtubers have made these videos because it makes me feel like I’m not alone in this battle and that I can talk to people with at least a few of my mental struggles and the problems I have with, for instance, talking on camera triggers a partial anxiety attack for me, and it’s so hard when I’m with my family and they just want me to smile but they don’t know what struggles are going on in my head like anxiety and depression and feeling worthless and so many things so thank you for making this and helping me feel understood

I get panic attacks and I have anxiety around other people. And I have been dealing with depression for 2 years. So far the past month has been the easiest part so far with you doing this and other people helping me and many other things. And does any one else get panic attacks when doing homework for school? I mean school is very stressful to the point of me trying to get expelled or to flunk. And on top of that a few months ago I came out and people in my school have another reason to bully me. This video helped and I am so happy that mental disorders are becoming more known. And now most people don’t think that being gay, bi, pan, or any other kind of sexuality that is not straight considered a “mental illness”. I am so happy you made this video. It helped a lot. And now kpop is now being accepted into America. And I am so happy about it. I purple you Brian and everyone else that has helped spread awareness about all of these problems. 💜💜

I'm still dealing with general anxiety disorder and panic attacks, and I've been dealing with it for 4 years. The first painful step is acknowledging that something's wrong, it may take years to figure it out. Everytime I felt anxious people just told me 'well, don't worry about it', so I didn't know what to do because maybe I was wrong and I was making a big deal out of nothing, but still I didn't manage to do the simplest thing, like taking the bus or eat alone. I had panic attacks on the bus, I had panic attacks preparing for exams at university. Surround yourself of accepting people who listen to you without judgment. Personally, one thing that helped me a lot (even with my eating disorder) was going to the gym. I didn't do anything in particular, just treadmill and some exercises with dumbbells, but it helped removing my attention from things that gave me anxiety. Eventually, continuing working out and eating well I learnt to love myself, I became more confident and I started to manage to control my panic attacks. If you don't feel like doing it alone, seek help in a friend, in a professional figure, because I was lucky to manage to do it on my own, but I'm sure that if I had seen a psychologist I probably would have reached the same results in lesser time. Thank you Brian for making this video, it is so important to me and to a lot of people who are dealing with anxiety. Sorry if I made some mistakes in English, I'm still trying to learn to write fluently.

Thank you Brian, this was needed ❤ It's great to see that we're not the only ones dealing with this, and that even people who you wouldn't have thought of deal with it too ! I'm dealing with social anxiety since way too much time but I'm working on it and I am proud to say that it evolves, it fades bits by bits with time and I think it's important to remind ourselves these little improvements and the differences between our anxiety 5 years ago and now. Thanks again and keep going, you're doing great ! (and I'm saying that to you Brian, but also to everyone here reading this)

I think it’s great that you talk so openly about your struggles with mental health. I had struggles too, I don’t really know what, it was like a mixture of anxiety and other things that I have never really been able to figure out. I overcame it about 2 years ago and I’m nearly 14 now. I still struggle sometimes, but I’ve learned how to control it. I thought it would never end. I thought I was the only one who was going through all this. But I know now that I wasn’t and it’s amazing how you are sharing your experiences and making people realise this x

Take a deep breath, it’s okay! I get how tiring it must be to uphold an image of happy even when you don’t feel like. Its hard, of course. Dealing with pressure of getting results, of being someone people like, of struggling everyday for something...It’s amazing what you are doing , being someone people look up to, being a role model. Keep up the good work! World really needs more people like you. :)

I struggle with anxiety and panic attacks. i have had both happen at once and it is not fun at all. i try to go the gym to workout and better myself but things do build up to a point where it takes a lot of time to bring me out of that state of anxiety about little things. i work as a medical receptionist so naturally i put everyones health before mine at work and in real life. lately i feel like things are going okay. im just waiting for a pin of bad to drop. thats my mind and its hard to stop that little voice before it consumes me. Thank you so much for talking about mental health even it is hard to talk about or go through. xx 💜

Love you Brian, I'm absolutely sure your the sweetness person I ever meet, always trying to help, you're golden boy. Now talking about the video I have to say that I love it. I personally haven't figth with mental struggles but I always have beeing interested on understand how other feel and based on that how you can help them to conquer his issues so while I'm not studying it on the university I have take some psychoanalytic classes and I discovered that a great way to help is not judging and understanding (and helping others to understand) that one way or another every person on this world has their own mental issues, some people had pretty little problem in his life because of that but some others had bigger problems fighting with it and it's ok. So the real reason I love that video is because it shows us that it's ok to have mental issues (you can really control that), but most important that there are ways to figth against it and last but not least that everyone could help other people to figth his problems In many differents ways, sometimes just being here, or listen what someone had to say or just trying to understand how your friend, or your parent feels and acts. So thank yo Brian, is a very useful video and I hope that it could make some lifes brigther.

I love this video. I just started watching your videos and I relate to you in many ways. I think that sometimes it is hard for people who are successful and appear happy to be open about their anxiety because the rest of the world will tell them that there is nothing to be anxious about or no reason they should be depressed. I have a wonderful group of friends, an amazing family and I am very blessed with many things in my life but I struggle with mental health every day. I too have anxiety and have dealt with an eating disorder for 7+ years. Your video was so relatable and it is humbling to know that there are other people in the world that have personal struggles that they deal with that are similar to mine.

Hey Brian! I normally prefer not to comment under any kind of video but this time I'd like to. I think it's really great that you also talk about topics like anxiety etc.!! I struggle with stress, anxiety and sometimes depression for quite some time now and it's getting worse again. Sometimes my body just shuts down and I'm not able to do anything. I can't walk anymore, I can't drink or eat, I'll just lay somewhere in my apartment. I'm pretty sure that building up a community within your community would be helpful for a lot of people. In our society it appears like you HAVE to be ok. I personally would love to join, talk to people and support others. I singed up at this webside but I sadly didn't read early enough how much it is and because I don't feel ready enough for a therapy that costs quite some money I will log out and won't use this webside :). And for everybody who is struggeling right now: It's ok to struggel and to not feel ok. There is always a way to get better❤! Much love from Germany

Just a couple of more tips to add on that my therapist used to tell me: 1. Recognize your feelings and accept the way they are. Whatever you're feeling is valid, it might not make sense but the first step to get out of those feelings is accepting instead of avoiding. 2. When you're stressed out, upset, mad or merely feel like you're about to have a mental breakdown, an anxiety attack or a panic attack, take deep and slow breaths before and after. Calm down before talking to someone again or you might break down for simple things. (It's the worst and i hate it :)))) 3. Once you've accepted your feelings, argue with yourself if they make sense, or if they really do matter. If they don't, try to move on and don't stay there. 4. I can't stress out enough how important it is to rant and vent about the way you feel !! even if you're a mess of tears, it's better to let it all out rather than sucking shit up 5. Lastly, do the shit you love doing!! Wanna paint? Do that! Wanna run? do that! Keep your mind on what you love, not what you hate.

Everyone experiences Anxiety, whether it is a result of things in the world, things that we have no control over. There are many reasons for anxiety and I can say that experiencing anxiety is a part of life. Life is not always happy, just as birth is part of life so is death, just as happiness is part of life so is sadness. Anxiety will pass through one's life and the important thing to do is not to stop there, just go through it and don't stop. Just like a passing storm, so does anxiety.

Like a lot of people in the comments, I have anxiety. I honestly go through times where I get so mad at myself because of how anxiety has controlled me. It's so ironic that I am in college to become a teacher because I get really bad anxiety sometimes when I go up and present. One time during a presentation I couldn't calm myself down that I blatantly told the class that I was having anxiety and my wrists went numb and my breathing went weird. It honestly sucks when all I want to do is teach and help kids about history but anxiety creates a huge road block. I started to truly realize I had anxiety when I was a junior in high school but I know I probably have had it since I was fourth grade. It just got progressively worse. So I have been trying to work on it. I have found that my anxiety is around not wanting to disappoint someone and to not be dumb. I absolutely hate when it seems everyone smarter and more knowledgeable than me. I feel so dumb that I don't understand something that a lot of people do. In my college history classes, there are always people who can critically analyze historical texts just like that when I can't on the spot tell you what I think. It gives me really bad anxiety especially when writing papers. However, I am trying to work on being more confident and trying to learn techniques to over come anxiety. Sometimes I just have to tell myself to just do it and not look back. I think the more you face your anxiety and you force yourself to work on it the better. I have been working on making more friends, being more social, doing things my anxiety doesn't want me to do. It's getting better but like Brian, I haven't really conquered it.

I'm in my senior year and i've had depression and social anxiety since my last year of grade school. Jr year I didn't go any where and I skipped a lot of school and activities because of my social anxiety I stopped hanging out with my friends and going to places with my friends. My friends stopped talking to me and stopped asking me to go to places with them and we stared to not to be friends. Me and my boyfriend broke up and didn't talk to each other.

I often can't normally breathe and I feel like everything around me is happening in fast motion like people talking faster than usually. Is this anxiety or something else? 🙄
