How to Deal With Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt in Trading! [FUD] 😱😨

One thing that I often reference when dealing with doubt or fear in trading is one of my favorite quotes from the book 'Who Moved My Cheese', its such a simple quote but can be really helpful. the quote is "What would you do if you weren't afraid." If I am doubting taking a trade I ask myself that question, If there was no fear of losing money in the trade would I still enter, 9 times out of 10 the answer is yes I would get in. It helps to try to look past the fear that is holding me back.

One way for me that helps tamp down fud is to think of the trade as a paper trade, its fascinating when you’re money isn’t involved 90 % of the time you won’t hesitate to take that trade. The same thing when you’re in a trade, where you would have got out with a small profit you’re more likely to tolerate the pullback. Take real money out of the equation and watch how much more smoothly your trading goes.

Love the sports analogy it's actually perfect and resonates with sports bettors. I've missed out of on so many opportunities recently due to fear and the thing is, I would of made more $$$ if I had not followed the fear (by not taking a trade) and instead followed my plan without day to day worrying and anxiety.

I am just a simple swing / occasional day trader of my mobile but always enjoy to listen to the videos when I am working outdoors ...On the subject of FUD sometimes I find it interesting to read messages on a share chat site when a share price drops dramatically ...Tullow Oil is an example yesterday (but I do not hold any shares in Tullow) ...At one extreme for some it may be the end of the world while for others at the other extreme it is simply a mere blip on the path to greater glory for that particular company ....Traders/ shareholders will read the same situation in different ways which may in part depend on how loyal they are to their particular shares of that company ...

5:05 This has happened to me so many times. Where having one bad trade is like tipping over that first domino. After that it's just bad trade after bad trade. I'm getting better though at recognising that I'm in that state and walking away for a while 😊.

I think fear is a normal feeling in trading. Just a though, you will have a better understanding of the market on a crappy (but oled) smartphone screen, than on a 2 panel tradingview layout on a 15" screen, It happens to me now couple of times now. Now on forex, it's a difficult time because the importance of the fundamentals is rising while you have still market pattern. Any assertion about Ukraine may cause a spike...
