If there is something that I learnt from my war thunder experience, there is nothing more dangerous than a disciplined american/german fighter pilot.

Yeah. I started german, and learned how to use my plane well.

This video more than any other has been so beneficial for boom and zoomers. I've seen the videos about high altitude tactics and what not. But this video does a great job at exemplifying what it means to zoom. I'm getting 2-3 kills a match now in my p-47

What gun convergence do you use? I use 300m to create a shotgun effect when diving on enemies but I do burn ammo

In two years, unless I missed it, nobody mentions in the comments that you pantsed the Scotch Koala. Heh. Anyway. Thanks for this, I’ve learned a lot from your vids. It’s taken me 18 months to get good enough to start implementing your suggestions, but I’m starting to have some success and am rewatching a bunch of vids I first saw about a year ago when I couldn’t really do the things you say, due to my poor skill level.

The reason might be your aircraft's acceleration abilities.

A question, when you just finished an attack run and have the altitude back, if you can't see the enemy planes, just their markers, does that mean that they can see your marker?

During this time in war thunder in 2020 i see p47 and p51, F6F etc trying to dogfight yaks they all die and as usual in the chat "russian bias, op planes ..."

war thunder does nothing to teach players about the characteristics of aircraft and how to use them. to the average new player, there is speed and turn speed. they have no idea what energy retention is and how to use it to their advantage, and this is part of the reason allied teams suffer. also, flying US planes effectively does not reward the player as much as flying the planes of other nations effectively. i can literally give my team the win when i fly an a36, rush the enemy, and then bait them all down low, all without getting a kill. but if i fly a spitfire or a g55 and turn fight in a furball just to get killed 3 minutes into a match, i'm rewarded far more despite doing very little to help my team. flying US planes effectively a lot of the time means you are setting up kills for your teammates and you are not rewarded equally for your efforts, so this encourages new players to do dumb things like chasing bombers and attacking the first plane they see in order to get something for their efforts.

Thank you! What would you consider as a starter nation, an easier nation than the US? (i'm fine with the US i'm just curious)

Well, the easiest nation is Japan, but you're not gonna learn much from playing them. It will just cement bad habits when flying other nations.

Russians, You get the most OP starter plane. The Zukovsky's I-153 is easily the best plane to start with, you'll grind that tree out in no time. Then you can fly the La's and Yak's later on in tiers. Good speed, and agility, and good guns.
