At my work, i had 2 major neck operations due to a work injury that i could not report as a work injury. That's a long story in itself.My Human resources sent me in an e mail saying there is no light duty. A co worker and his buddy approached me recently and one of them asked me as i am Senior guy, what to do as he said he got hurt a week ago. He said he had a hernia. I said report it to the boss. But i also said If you are liked by management and Human resources you shouldn"t have a problem. Note He got hired through Nepatism. The next day. He said he was on light duty. Now a month later he was with another worker and when i walked up to them he changed the subject he was on and said I'm getting operated on Monday. Then have to recover for 4 weeks. I could tell he is trying to rub it in my face, given my past experience there. I know that the guys, even management are jealous of my talents and knowledge and e-mail compliments to my bosses from other Dept. I lobe my Job and i am too old to start fresh. According to my experience, setting boundaries and keeping distance with jealous people is the best way to get rid of them. Taking to HR or telling the jealous people that they are hurting me made things worse. What if the HR is a jealous person too, the same kind of people support each other. Jealous person is making conscious effort to hurt me, telling her to stop getting jealous of me did not make her stop instead she got more jealous.

I know this because I’m divorcing a grandiose narcissist right now. I’ve been in therapy learning about narcissism for the past year. I never knew after finding out about narcissism through my husband that I would be dealing with more narcissistic people including family members. I believe she enjoys starting trouble and being antagonistic and I don’t believe me getting agitated is my insecurity. I just believe people should be nice to each other. Either ignore or crush the prospects of the jealous person. Don’t be empathetic and don’t use energy trying to walk on needles around them or giving thought into a person who’s not thinking about your wellbeing. Be professional, nice or nice-nasty and WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING they do to you and your response if any. Most importantly learn as much as possible to advance beyond them and possibly become their manager or reduce your prospects of being fired due to politics. Have a backup job.

So very relevant for me the last few years. In my case, i'm a chef in fairly high end restaurants. A fairly brutal and and thanksless enviorment for the most part, but in a way that is what i have always loved about it. I moved out from home and started working full time at the age of 17, straight into 80-90 hour weeks and giving it all I have, and some. Because of this, i was very good from a young age. These days at the age of 30, approaching the peak of my career and ability, i am encountering a lot of alienation from young chefs. Starting small but ending up spreading amongst the ranks. My leadership style is by example, and i like to think i am careful with my words and respectful. But why do i keep encountering this? I am starting to realise it comes from a place of jealousy. Is this just a thing of modern day? What happened to working for stuff? People much sooner shit on someone that outshines them than pay attention and learn from them.

The more you watch such videos, you will find your self focusing on them as you are trying to find a solution of which they are the problem; a problem which is neither of your making nor in your control. Hence, stop watching these videos, focus on other things especially hobbies, as they help with your focus because you like them, and move on with your life. Just stop thinking about them, and the dread will disappear.

@@kararonin I'm from Canada. What is your advice? Same here being bullied, mobbed, gaslighting, harassed at the hospital for over 12 years. I've happened to be the top worker for 38 years and have never been suspended. These bullies are jealous and miserable people. Union, manager, HR and the police are all totally useless. Bullies are lazy bums and stupid managers are scared of the bullies. They say about me I'm crazy, I drink, I'm a stalker all bs defamation of character. The biggest mistake since they removed disciplinary measures. They should arrest the bullies and fire the manager. Action speaks louder than nasty words. It destroyed my reputation. I will never quit to make these lazy bums ever win. If I decide to transfer to another hospital and may start gaslighting, smearing and bullying me once again, I don't know all the new managers etc. like in every department like now. So best to not change hospitals. I will never let bullies try to control me from quitting. Just don't react and not try to defend yourself which will only go back and forth making me look even more guilty. Action always speaks louder than words. Just best ignore them and find another easier target. Never let these low life lazy bums win ever win.

But maybe my coworker is someone who get swayed easily to have this or that. She's having a loan and she got money problems because of her buying this or that just to keep up with the neighbors or me. I think she got problems. As for me, it's hard to share something about myself like if I bought something new. This time I thought that finally the day has come for me to give my interview test. Later they have cancelled the interview itself. I couldn't understand and for some time I was shocked. Can you pls help me to whom I should ask and what could be the general reason behind this.
@kararonin Жыл бұрын
I recommend asking the person who organised the interview, either the recruiter or the person in that company. Emphasise how excited you were for the interview and ask them for a reason as to why the interview won't take place. As to my thoughts on this: well, companies are going through a lot of uncertainty at the moment. That company may have intended to interview you before, but with changes in the wider economy, they may not have the budget to hire any new employees. They probably won't tell you that, but I would say it's related to the difficult economy we have right now. Regardless, keep trying for the next job!

This sounds like a problem of people interrupting you then taking control of the conversation. If people misunderstand your point, it's important you tell them.
