As always, super helpful. I am not hopeful the Collins will find her backbone but I am willing to put pressure on her to do so. She is such a disappointment.

Thank you Hiedi. I'm afraid Collins may be all the back bone she has. I think she was enough against Gaetz (though she got lucky and didn't have to vote) to help doom him. Hopefully the same will be true of Hegseth. Murkowski may have to help her find her back bone, but fingers crossed.

Excellent video - thank you! Good general advice (if sometimes difficult) and many specific, detailed lists of names and committees we can contact to urge opposing inappropriate nominations. You're right - making our voices heard is very important now and throughout the next four years.

Thank you, Brian. I’m still in shut down/disbelief mode and avoiding almost all my political channels and news sources, but this is something I can do. I doubt it will help with my Utah senators (Romney didn’t run for reelection and Lee is full MAGA), but I’ll contact everyone on the list so they at least feel like they’re being watched. I know Trump and his ilk would rather the rest of us stay quiet, so doing the opposite and being a thorn in their side will be my goal for 4 years. Appreciate you.

Thank you for your wonderful cultural literary channel mr Brian. Actually we are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well . I read very important article about topic you mentioned , just key points briefly here it’s written in nov 2024 , by Adam volle maga movement is nativist political movement that employed in USA during 2016 presidential campaign of putative leader Donald trump. It’s name is derived from trump2016 campaign slogan “ make America great again “ , which became rallying cry for many trump supporters during his candidacy presidency ( 2017- 21 ) and beyond. It’s was founded on belief that USA was once great country but has lost his status owing to foreign influence, both within borders ( via immigration and Multiculturalism) and , without globalization or , increased integration of multiple national economies. Maga members think that this fall from grace can be reversed through America first policies that would provide greater degree of economic protectionism greatly reduce immigration from developing countries. Trump call in 2015 for total and complete shout down of musilm entering USA , would involve racial or religious discrimination. Maga movement as combative character which , exemplifies extreme partisanship of contemporary America politics. Rhetoric has flourished within movement including maga that critics as homophonic, sexist , racist , violence. Maga members repeated false stories by maga leaders . For example Democratic former president Barack Obama is not native born USA citizen ( birthrism) aim to replace white American with none white immigrants.

Trump doesn't have to wait for congress to get temp appointments in place. He did it his first term by filling hundreds of leadership positions with temp appointees as they argued over the official candidates. Washington post has several stories detailing this out and how nothing can stop him from using this system. I'm sorry you feel he is a threat and thats almost exclusively due to media bias but what is in motion now won't be stopped.

@nonaurbizniz7440Ай бұрын
@@Resist47-r6f I'm not nervous. I'm an independent and think both sides lost their minds and their way these last few decades. We fell into political tribal warfare and the venn diagram of what used to be 90% shared values was constantly moved via the overton window until we now have maybe 10% overlap and both sides reject the others ideas by default. I support Trump not because he is some moral figure. He is not. But he calls it like the general public sees it and that general public has made its will known. The progressives have had literal decades to make their case and in that time every area they control has fallen into abject ruin. When ultra liberals like the young turks turn on the progressives you know they went way too far to the left. Rejoin the venn diagram and the nation heals.
