I once worked as a bartender for like 4 days or smth, and oh boy the things that happened, i remember one time one of my co-workers decided to take a break in the backroom or like the backstage of the bartenders zone and started to watch a movie......ON MAX VOLUME, i was the closest to her so i heard EVERYTHING and because the customers were too far they couldnt hear it and then it came a freaking spicy scene-......i literally just came in on her and told her to get back to work. And if that wasnt enough one time i was literally almost jumped, a lady came in and told me i look familiar and i said politely i didnt know her and then she just begins to SCREAM......she thought i was an actress or smth, i dont remember for sure, but she began panicking and tried to HOP THE TABLE, and naturally i got scared and ran to one of my co-workers and then quit the next day.👍

Working as a bartender as an introverted and quiet person, can either break you or give you the biggest balls or confidence. Once a customer ordered 6 shots for his friends, and when I told him the price, he went away for a few seconds, talked to his friend, came back and tried to say he already paid for them. I wasn't having it at all that night, and told him "You better pay for those shots bro, you did NOT pay a single thing." He tried arguing back and the more pissed off I got he realized he wasn't tricking me at all and said "fine man i'll pay it." Then his friend came up to me, snitched and told me he tried to trick me purposely. His friend also added that he was a dickhead who does stuff like that. I was ready to throw hands that night 😭shoutout to the friend for snitching on him and being a good lad that night.

I recommend finding a small business with a good boss. Big corporate run bars/restaurants always put incentives on managers to understaff emaking every night hell. Obviously not so easily done, but I've enjoyed working this small functions bar so so much. Man do I love pulling the first day lie for every little thing. So relatable! The sports bar here in Canada that I worked with had some of the best people. Even if the night was stressful there was always funny stories to talk about, the back where we have our liquor exploded and spilled literally everywhere gave us a headache to clean up but we laughed afterwards.

(English is not my first language so bear with me) I think working as a bartender in a restaurant than in a bar is Wayyy different. I mostly work at the bar section in a restaurant (like the place where they make drinks). And mind you i was a COMPLETE newbie and a guy with social anxiety. And when i mean it,it completely broke me. This was also my first real job. When i was making the drinks i made a small mistake where a guy got the drinks twice. And the customer was completely understandable. But my co-worker who is just an asshole just screams at me infront of the whole restaurant. Telling me " WE LOSE MONEY BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKES! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT DRINK. NOW!!" When i got home i cried myself to sleep :/

yes its ups and downs. the restaruant bars are generally less forgiving and want you to be "perfect" (nevermind being on minimum wage and brand new), but theyre less chaotic and ive never had to clean a shit covered toilet yet. compared to bar bars that are open until 4am, where you can basically put anything in a drink and the customer is too sloshed to care, but closing takes 4 hours because the entire establishment is covered in spilled drinks and vomit residue

aw thank you, rn im currently using the adobe products on PC, adobe photoshop to draw props and characters, sometimes arranging background as well, I use animate to animate the characters mostly abusing the tweening feature, and then Premier Pro to edit everything with sound, effects, blah blah blah. ❤
