It reveals a lack of empathy and more of a concern with one-upmanship and self-preservation. I have seen this cold spirit of watchtower cause so much distress. It is not the way of Jesus, who was eager to consider the ones described as a 'bruised reed' and 'smoldering wick'; and those toiling and loaded down, whom he desired to refresh. Matthew 12:1-21; Matthew 11:28-30

Rather, the people we're dealing with are the ones who attack others and can so damage them that they make them the victims who become the bruised reeds and smoldering wicks.That is the whole purpose of the slander campaign we're dealing with here. These slanderers may be operating this way out of sheer wickedness or because they are suffering from some mental disorder. Narcissism is a mental disorder, but one would hardly qualify a narcissist as a bruised reed needing to be "refreshed". Actually, Lindsay's comment was spot on. When I presented evidence and witnesses showing that there was no "judicial committee" resulting in a suicide, the one you are comparing as a bruised reed in need of refreshment ignored the evidence, and just restated her lying slander to the world and continues to do so. Since you're quoting Scripture, perhaps you'd consider how these support the reasoning of Lindsay that you're likening disparagingly to Watchtower thinking. Proverbs 10:18: "Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool." Proverbs 29:9: "If a wise person goes to court with a fool, the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace." Proverbs 14:7: "Stay away from a fool, for you will not find knowledge on their lips." Proverbs 23:9: "Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words." Proverbs 18:2: "Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions." Proverbs 16:28: "A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends." Psalm 101:5: "Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate." James 4:11: "Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it." Proverbs 11:9: "With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape." Matthew 5:11: "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

You are right on point about slander, Eric. Slander is indeed very harmful, not only to the one who is being slandered, but also to the one whom the negative story is told. It ruins the reputation of those who are slandered. It brings to my mind the observation that I have made; a good reputation is like a fine house. It takes a long time to build and possess, a lifetime to maintain and keep, and only a short time to lose. Once someone's reputation is ruined, it a very long time to rebuild it. That is why it behooves each and every one of us to verify whatever we hear from others. Better yet, remain silent if you ever hear slanderous things until you find out who started the division. Do not repeat any slander that you hear, lest you take part in it, because it is damaging to the relationships of people that you mingle with. The Holy Bible has much to tell us about how careful we should be with our words. Jesus Christ said that each of us is accountable for our words as well as our deeds. Thank you for this timely message about slander and its sinful nature.

I am a SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST gospel worker (preacher). I can tell how Watchtower followers, despite having an outward semblence of being nice to people, this semblance soon vanishes away when they meet someone who knows the Bible. I was slandered by jw elders’ while I was with my fellow preachers, preaching house to house. They mocked their heads off with venomous hate speech which was reminiscent of Rutherford's speech! Oh my goodness! My Yahweh help Watchtower followers see how they have been duped by Rutherford!

I think it is good of you to acknowledge and address the situation. And i also think you followed through by doing the right thing. (how can someone know the truth about a matter if they don't hear from both sides? you can never make an informed decision if you only hear one side. Me, personally, i don't pay any attention to slander, and just brush it aside, because i don't want to be labeled a "fool" for making a judgement by listening to only one side of a matter.) As far as slander in concerned, know this: Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ knows the truth about each and every one of us! He will vindicate the righteous. He knows what is in our heart, and each individual will be judged accordingly by the justice's. As far as humans are concerned: wise ones can see through slander, because they know what God says about it. They can also see the slander's fruits (their disposition, and attitude. To be disfellowshipped for less than what the bible requires as evidence and reject any and all evidence of repentance is slander as all those who witness the disfellowshipping must believe that the offender is a practicing fornicator or sinner who STUBBORNLY refused to repent when the Elders offered a last chance to prove their character. Instead they disregard Luke 17 which says you MUST forgive a person who says he repents , abandoning reason they insist on disfellowshipping others who are not under their control. I too am a victim of that. And so is the congregation who is still under their control.

So though it was written "Jehovah" in these old Bible translations from those times, the sound made was a "Y". So later translations and people who prefer the older way of 'saying' it, will use a Y now rather than a J, seeing how the letters no longer make the sound in our tongue that they once did. Yehovah is just one variant however, which is made up from the vowels of Adonai. Whereas, others have readily argued Yahweh or Yahu to be closer to the ancient form, though nobody 'absolutely' knows. The important thing being the meaning of the name "I be" or "I become what I be", or "the Being".

What I observe right now is that Eric is a person who, from what I see in his videos, his intention, and his interest, I see him as someone who is trying to create unity, helping us to follow the teachings of Christ, helping us discern certain things. For sure, he has also gone through an experience where he was a Jehovah's Witness and was deceived, and the fact that he exposes hypocrisy with the Bible shows that he is imitating Jesus. Jesus did the same thing; He exposed the hypocrisy of the Pharisees with the Bible, and this is not wrong at all. But I see Eric as a gentle person, first and foremost, who is trying to create unity among us. I see nothing wrong with him, and I haven’t seen anything wrong until this person came along. Upon seeing her actions, I observe that she, at this moment, is creating division and promoting hatred, arguing, and causing scandals, which is not a reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ in any way. Jesus would never have done this, nor spoken like this, it is totally wrong. And that is why I say we need to pay attention to actions, to their method. What method is Eric using, and what method is she using? Her method clearly reflects the Spirit of Satan. We shouldn’t hate this lady. In fact, we should feel compassion for her, because she is clearly in the hand of Satan. And the only thing we could do, each of us individually, is to pray for her, to pray fervently for her, because it could happen to anyone. And even if she is mentally ill, it is not something we should despise. Think about how many were demonized, and Jesus cast out demons. It’s sad, and I could get sick tomorrow and become paranoid, thinking certain things are wrong. That’s why I say, we should have compassion for her. What's funny is my mother passed away in June and she was a baptized JW. She stayed in the nursing home close to 3yrs and in this time the elders only came to see her 1 time while she was in the nursing home. I left the JWs about 6yrs ago and they shunned me and my family. My mother passed away in June of 2024 so the shunning law had been abolished. They were so confused at my mother's funeral and so was I about speaking to each other. Most still seem to hold on the false shunning law. Two elders one at a time did approach me in a friendly way and told me they would come visit and talk with me. This was in June 2024 and now it is December 2024 and not one has called nor come to visit me. The sad thing is that they are just as, if not more confused as I am. @barrydimatteo8853 - Philo (latest slanderer) was treated with the utmost respect and love at our meetings. Come and ask anyone there. She is a young woman and has many serious health problems and a persecuting JW family and received much attention from everyone in our group. My wife supported her online embrodiery store, too, to encourage her. Philo left our Sunday zoom group simply to "worship" with the Italian group (she speaks Italian) because she wants to believe that Jesus is God.

Thanks for the clip from their interview. It all makes sense now. I learned a long time ago that when you are dealing with a brother or sister who is dealing with mental instabilities like being bipolar, do not argue. Let them win. Disengage. Any attempt to converse is to be drawn into a web of contention and chaos. In addition, there is no way to be right. You will always be wrong and forced to defend, defend, defend. The chaos / conflict feeds their hunger to feel connected and alive. It makes sense to hesitate in responding. This explains quite a bit.

Hey thanks for the video I'm glad you did this because I saw Caroline Saunders video and I explained in comments that what she was doing was not scriptural the method was not scriptural getting yourself involved was not scriptural and there are two sides to every story hello hello by making long comments on her channel and I called into question her motive. Don't get me wrong I have attended one of your zoom meetings and I found that it wasn't necessarily for me but that in no way stops me from listening to your videos which are second to none. Hello Eric. You handled this very well and with a Christian attitude. When I first saw Ruth’s video I was shocked at the way she handled it. I know nothing about the people involved or any information about any of it, but her video made for uncomfortable viewing, it just felt wrong, what she said, the way she spoke and the “righteous” way she tried to portray her part in this. I watched it again and was moved to write a comment. I wrote in a polite but firm way that I thought the way she was doing this was wrong and that if she, or anybody she was speaking for should approach you and your wife privately about any grievances they had first before doing it publicly, quoting the scripture in Matthew. Her reply was very harsh and accused me of hate speech! I politely explained that I had no hate and was pointing out the scriptural reason for my opinion. Again her response was very cold and accusatory. She seems to have a very self-righteous, self-important attitude, and after watching the way she conducts herself gives me insight into her character and offers an explanation into the reason why, as she herself has said, many Witnesses took a disliking to her when she was part of the org. I think people will recognise these divisive and negative traits as I have and act accordingly. 🇬🇧

The spirit that is driving them is not the peacable, loving spirit of the Christ, but a very different spirit. It becomes impossible to reason with them, because they don't want to reason.

In addition to Lindays comment regarding bi-polar episodes...1 Corinthians 5:5 states that we would give this one over to satan. That would be for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. We can love a person. It doesn't mean we need to tolerate abuse. Most folks in this condition have been through the process of getting treatment. So they are fully aware of the situation, and why people seem to always be leaving and "abandoning" them. If they are honest and want to quit living a tortured life, they know where and how to get help. But if the narcissistic side of them takes over, they begin a false narrative into thinking they can handle or control their outbursts. We who are watching know better. I pray for all victims of mental illness. It's like prison, in your mind. We can love our persecutors, but again we do not have to take the abuse.

And we do not hate anyone. Actually we pray for them. There is no room for hate when Jesus said we are to show love even toward our enemies. Just to make that clear.
