This is enlightening, I used to block in R16 and then respond to Q17 by attachment in R18, but I can see the value of descending in P18 instead.

Good video. Maybe you're already planning to do this in a future 3-3 video but it would be nice to see how the invasion result differs when black backs off low after the kick instead of high.

It seems like the more Tsumigo I solve, the more it seems I’m just making shape or reducing my opponents shape.

What if on 7:28 white answers in S15? Black, sure, will move to T13 (taking the stone "6'), and white moves to S18. Is this situation good for black?

A perfect length for such a video. A good balance of thoroughness and brevity, and what is Go if not balance? )

Is there a joseki continuation after white approaches using the knights move from the outside? I am wondering more about when black does not immediately play the side enclosure. Specifically, what if white gets the approach then black bumps on the side and white stands. Does this fix the 3-3 aji? Thank you very much!

Would playing at Q17 instead of P17 early in the game stop the 3x3 invasion and if so would it not provide a better return?

kind sir: is the way to deal with the 3 x 3 sort of sometimes not to fight it directly? Just contain it a little while you gain more space elsewhere? I am talking about a 9x9 board. I just saw an AI review of my game and it allowed 2 eyes to form during the invasion, but it made up for it by having more territory elsewhere. I am 17 kyu. ty. While I cannot say I can duplicate the AI, I did recognize AI's method during the review. ty On a 9x9, having two eyes is a huge territory. It is diffferent than 19,x19. But, in someways it is the same.

Yes, the 33 invasion is always a weak point of the star point corner, especially if the P17 kick has been played. Therefore, trying to kill it is not always an option, and the usual idea is to limit it to a relatively small life and get something back on the outside.
