Back when I was young, people had peer groups they could talk however they want about anything they wanted. If you began to feel uncomfortable in that peer group, our your voice was changing, you left the peer group for a different peer group. And there was no political stigma attached to that. There was no fear of losing a job, no fear of losing a career opportunity. You just made the peer group move, c'est la vie. 🎉 But you always had fond memories of that peer group you left and the discourse you guys had. And you didn't kill the friendships. People weren't cloistered in Shame like they are today. Cloistered in fear of not being able to say this and that. 😮 Take me back.....
