How to know if you're the narcissist? 🤔
@SDC8686
@SDC8686 Жыл бұрын
I simply do not deal with them. Ghost to protect self. The issue is identifying the person's b.s. early before you feed into their toxicity. That goes for potential romantic partners, friends, and family, too. I just can't deal w the stress and high blood pressure from toxic connections. Family is a little harder. Had to set hard boundaries with my cousin 🫠. Ain't nobody got time for that, lol. Called her out and limit conversations if I need to.

It is horrible when your adult daughter is the toxic narcissict. They pick on their mother to blame her for their own mistaken choices and frustations believing mothers will never leave. Wrong!

I thought my grown daughter was going to change this time. She was crying and upset, so I believed that she 'hit bottom' and would realize her bad behavior, but NOPE. Just within three months, she's back to her manipulating ways. Yes, it hurts to set boundaries with my own 'grown' daughter, but I can't let her walk all over me, so I'll keep in touch with her, but it's on my terms, not when she wants something from me.

One tip I got from Uppity Negress was to save the person's number under what they did. Instead of someone's name, save (& block) their info under, say, "Raging Narcissist" or "Condescending Person Who Majes Me Feel Less Than" That's what I plan to do.

Iv cut allot of people off in my life recently and others have also cut me off in the past. Sometimes when someone would cut me off, I would think there was some kind of misunderstanding when the situation didn't make sense. If I understood what the boundary was, I would apologize sincerely for crossing it but sometimes its just not enough. If somebody crosses my boundaries I usually give them second chances, but I don't forget what it was. Some friends would cross the line, and giving them a second chance was all that was needed to solve the problem. Others just aren't sincere with there apologies and continue to cross the line. I know what its like to be cut off suddenly with seemingly no explanation or an unclear one, so I always give the person an explanation or closure before ending things or giving them another chance. People make mistakes. Not everyone who crosses the line is malicious even if its hard in the moment to see that. In maintaining healthy relationships, we need to be able to reflect on our own actions critically before making a decision while also keeping in mind our own boundaries. iv found that having a conversation with them, more times then not, has a great effect. I also acknowledge others may have the opposite experience, but for the sake of emphasizing my own, If your uncertain about the outcome, it might be worth discussing the situation with someone you trust who can help you think critically about the next steps. ultimately its up to you to decide who you want to keep in your life, however I know from experience, jumping to conclusions never did anything but make me a more closed minded person. make sure to pay special attention to the details, and facilitate communication the best you can. If this fails, remember who you are and stand up for yourself because you've done everything you could.

Love this! Liked this! This was really good MJ!!! I had this experience last week and the person is trying to drag it into this week because, I said what I had to say last week and refused to continue that conversation. Oooo this videoo came just in time! I have a few Narcissist in my family, that's always poking the bear and when called out, they either apologize or say that they was just playing. These same people have been doing silly shit and trying me for awhile now. There was a time when I may have been passive aggressive- now, I don't even get mad. I confront, draw boundaries and exit stage left.

Staying grounded in my own integrity helps me be understanding of people's symptoms and allow them the privacy processing. Speaking simply without judgement, just facts being shared, releases any enabling or disabling or expectation for exchange. Very healthy for everyone especially if there are others present, a neutral party to witness is often wise . Keep it simple as some will take anything you say out of context to use against you. Be your own confessor.I love the recprding idea.I write it out or do some art or music that transmutes .

I've been following you for almost 1 and a half a year from now, u help a lot of people to learn about their feelings and get them through in any situation, i hope u make another one on how to deal with narcissist neighbor that only wants fight/debate. We all are dealing a lot already and it's hard to go on everyday with neighbors that keep on mocking me and gaslighting me by talking behind my back (they making us uncomfortable and make us feel bad for being poor and not having enough). I can't believe that there are still this type of people in the community up to this time, it's like they never taste the bitterness of life so they bully us for being behind to them😩. I hope in some miracle that you notice my comment to able to help me🥺, please heart my comment as soon as you already notice it so i can remember & come back to your channel🙏❤️.
