I came to respond to +zosete but now his comment's not here. Anyway, he was asking why AC4 is harder than AC3 multiplayer. I think the obvious answer is that AC4 players have more experience than before. They are also more exposed to videos like this telling them why they suck!

Minor Hack can be good for Domination and AA only

I use Killbuffer and Revelations. You can already gather more killstreak points for your next revelations while it's active and you'll only lose one if you die. Somehow I get really good as soon as Revelations activates, so I think I'll keep it like this.

I highly recommend against Kill Buffer when using a 5-point streak. Here's why: If you die with 0 streak, KB did not help you at all. If you die with 1 streak, KB did not help you at all. If you reach 5 streak in one life, KB did not help you at all. Therefore KB only helps you if you die with 2, 3, or 4 streak (only half the time), and it only helps you assuming you actually trigger your streak while holding carryover streaks from previous lives. Meanwhile something like Overall Cooldowns or Unstoppable or even Sentry helps you 100% of the time regardless of your luck/death patterns. Compare that to Animus Hack where KB helps you in 11 out of 14 scenarios.

Hmmm you got a good point there. I guess I'll try some other perks as well and see which ones work out the best :) But are you sure about unstoppable in Deathmatch? Or was that just an example? (Cause I was only talking about Deathmatch)

Just an example. Unstoppable is not good in DM. Sentry is not very good overall but also not good in DM, it's much better in Wanted, where people try to lose you in chases.

If I were Hackamackattack or whatever his name is, I would have killed Wing in the haybale. Since the map of DM is small, it is so easy to guess the hiding spots. When I get Animus Hack streak, I will start attacking all those oblivious idiots running about for their kill, next I attack the hiding spots next the duplicates in groups. Run around as you do this since people can run up to you and stun/kill you. If you keep on guard, you can kill your pursuers or missed kills.

Hey Wingspan! I'm not new to ac multiplayer by any means but there is something I really need clarified lol. Sabotage...what's the point? It says counter an ability they're going to use and can be thrown. Isn't that the same as wipe?

Not exactly. When you use Sabotage, a timer starts on your target (they can't tell). If they try to use an ability during that time, their ability is CANCELLED. Not only that, but they cannot use that ability again for 30-50 seconds (depending on crafting). Meanwhile Wipe locks them out of all abilities but only for a few seconds, and they are aware ahead of time they are locked out. Also note that Sabotage has a shorter cooldown and can be used more easily at range. Then again Wipe reveals targets and hits multiple targets. Then again they're not mutually exclusive! Overall though Wipe is probably better in team modes and Sabotage is better in FFA or CTA where you only need to shut down one person (and do it more discretely and frequently).

Important things I think you missed: - Can't hack while stunned - Can't hack while wiped For anyone playing deathmatch seriously, having a wipe + disruption set should be a must, just because of animus hackers. Animus hack is efective in not-so-competitive lobbies, but you can still fend it off with wipe and disruption (you can take away around 20+ seconds from the hack using those abilities). Hopefully though, when the hack is triggered, you'll have at least one of those slots to counter it... cuz if you have none it could be bad. In competitive lobbies, you have to be good not only to pull it off, but to prevent being screwed. Most people will be aware of it and just avoid it entirely, or block it with wipe or disruption. Or maybe they'll just disguise and blend around XD Rather than put you in the lead, animus hack will slow your scoring, as other players will be using their own (probably 5 point) streaks multiple times and make it increasingly hard for you to score points, or get the hack. Just my opinion though, based on my experience. Nice video :)

I agree with most of what you said, but a compulsory slot just for Wipe? That's kinda... weird. Why have a whole ability slot just for countering an animus hack which will probably not be triggered more than once anyway? There's lots of other abilities which will help you out more: Firecrackers, Time phase, Poison, Bodyguard, Decoy and perhaps Smoke Bomb as well. Btw, all the above is simply my opinion.

Magma Thrower No he's saying have an ability set (maybe named COUNTER HACK) that has these abilities. Then when Animus Hack is used, you switch to it if your'e not using it already. You can use the fast switch shortcut BACK+A or just switch when you die. Also Animus Shield blocks ONE (and only one) hit of Animus Hack, at least it did in AC3.

WiNGSPAN TT Magma Thrower Yeah, exactly what Wingspan said. You have a set with those, but you don't need to use it all the time, just switch to it when necessary. And I'm not entirely sure about shield in AC4... but to be honest I haven't tested so can't really say.

Ah, I see. I usually don't change my ability sets when I play a match, so I didn't understand :) And I'm pretty sure animus shield does block at least one hit of an animus hack in AC4, but I'm not 100% certain because the guy using animus shield whom I tried to hack lagged out almost instantly after I hacked.

People still fall for it. Since you are going to die in most situations it is worth trying. Plus you could get lucky due to lag.

WiNGSPAN TT I got a Deathmatch game before with 15 stuns. Around 9 of them were corner stuns if I remember correctly. So yeah, it still works.

This is an exclusive costume for gamers who played AC Revelations multiplayer. There are also costumes reserved for players who played Brotherhood and AC3 online.

Which abilities are the best for deathmatch?

Disguise is easily the best. After that, it really depends. If your opponents are terrible you will make a killing with Poison or Decoy. If you are in first and have a lot of pursuers then Bodyguard or Tripwire Bomb are both good. Firecrackers and Time Phase are always good. Glimmer is pretty good. Money Bomb is LOL. For ranged, everything except Pistol is good in DM. Poison Dart is good for runners/baiters. Disrupt/Sabotage is good for score denial and trickery. Knives are versatile but have a longer cooldown now.

Every 55 levels you get 1 prestige. Like, if you're level 110, it will show that you are prestige 2. 165 prestige 3, and it goes on.
