Oops! I mixed up my directions. Wrap the tape CLOCKWISE so when you screw on the cap, it won't unravel. Go with the direction of the threads. My mistake

Decanting over a sink is a must for me. Enlarging the hole of the syringe is a great idea. I decanted some CK fragrance last night that turned out really well. On the CK bottle, the chrome sleeve under the spray button simply pulled off. It did take a little force, but pulled off just fine. The atomizer had a plastic compression type fitting. A thin blade pried it up very easily. Replacing the metal sleeve tightens the plastic base back down. For syringes or personal bottles a little perfumer's alcohol rinses them out if they are for your own use.

Another way of widening the hole of the syringe is by putting the tip of it into boiling hot water and then do the same process. That way you don't damage the syringe nor compromise the fragrance by whatever odor is left when plastic gets a little burnt. Props for this video though, you changed my decant-filling game man!

You forgot to mention: Always DI wash your vials/atomizers. Small debris can be seen on the sample when fragrance oil is added. I did the same mistake. I added fragrance oil onto my atomizer and noticed a little hair floating into the sample.

Rich sent me a free sample of fuckin' Gucci Envy one time because I told him about a story back in 2009 when I bought a bottle brand new from a department store and dropped it on my bathroom floor, and how much I loved the way it smelled but that incident kind of scarred me for life. Dude sent me a free, I think maybe 2ml or 3ml sample or something? What a legend!

I was able to decant some virgin island water from my 100ml bottle to my 50ml travel atomizer with no spilling. Thanks for the tip man! Very easy to do! I get worried about spraying it into a container. I feel that spraying it into another container would probably degrade some of the volatile top notes. One tip to add. Grab the coil master kit for RDA coil building. The kit has a tool that has all the different diameter metal rods so you can step up the size of the syringe opening. For creed atomizer stems, I found a 3mm outside diameter sized rod to fit the stem on the bottle perfectly. Had some resistance pushing the syringe down onto the stem but I got a very good seal to where I didn’t mix any oxygen when drawing the liquid 😀

i bought some tiny funnels on ebay. the stem fits in the decant then just spray into the cone. I think they were 10/$1 from China, plastic. took 3 1/2 -4 weeks shipping(free). wash with soapy water, Rinse,dry and reuse.

You can also get these cheap bottles where you just pump in into the bottom. They have different colors so I try to match the color of my juice bottle more or less to the decant travel bottle

I been watching all of his recent vids. Him and the channel have matured so much. I have a question for anyone and everyone. I've been decanting using the spray method. where I just spray the juice directly into my decant. I noticed that when I do that, it alters the scent in the cologne. it also alters the longevity and projection. All in a negative way. Can anyone explain to me what the heck is going on? I feel like I wasted so much juice of different bottles by decanting this way!😊

I took a 6.7 fl oz. Bottle of Versace Pour Homme to Cancun in my carry on luggage. In the room, I went to dinner and when I can back, the cleaning crew rifled through the luggage, the room smelled SO STRONG in that perfume, and the bottle and its box were separated in the luggage, just thrown carelessly. I was too dumb to think of decanting. You dont want to deal with a big bottle. I didn't think to lock it up in our safe. I will always decant from now on!! And you can decant and take more than one fragrance with you if you wish. One for day, one for night.

Using a needleless syringe makes decanting easy and no worries for wasting juice not going in the traveler atomizer unlike the cap and nozzle technique where it does not fit all perfumes

My method: get a pair of plyers and rip the cap off, then use a butter knife or fork to stab a hole through the plastic stopper. Then dump the fragrance into other bottle

Thank you! I bought a perfume sampler kit and it included a beautiful decant vile. I have an expensive fragrance that I wanted to decant for personal use (weekend getaways, purse size for evenings out etc) while keeping an eye on the volume of my original. This video was so very helpful. I did not use the syringe, I had a tiny funnel included with my decant kit and just sprayed my perfume into that. I also have the oil in the same fragrance so I was able to spray 5-6 sprays of the oil and the remainder was parfum for a more concentrated version. I had zero waste if I did it was miniscule.

Excellent video man! Such necessary and welcome insight for a developing frag head. Question: Is the needle you are using a luer lock syringe? I know you linked some in the description, but the tips look slightly different. Yours seems to have a black piece at the tip, if I'm not mistaken. Did it come with a needle that you removed?? I have some like the one's in the description and they don't grab on to the top as well as yours seems to in the video, so I just wanted to check if it's the exact same kind as you're using. After making the proper fitting size, I placed the tip of the syringe to the nozzle. However, when I pulled up on the plunger of the syringe, it didn't suck any liquid. When I let go of the plunger, it quickly sucked down and I was afraid I broke the nozzle of the fragrance. What's going on? I hope you're not memeing us like iDubbbzTV :) hope you respond back.

I know this is an older vid. I hope you see this, so you can answer this question. So, when I order decants and they come with the teflon tape, they often have like a "fishy" smell off the atomizer. I have heard that if the tape gets mixed with the juice it can create that smell. Was wondering if you have ever experienced this?
