I have been looking for this video for the past couple of months. I saw it once and when I looked for it again I could not find it. I am sooo happy I finally found it. I didn't know this was called "decoupage". I learned something new today. I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW THIS TURNED OUT. OMGosh! What an excellent idea! I have a "clutch" wallet that I carry in my purse that I'm going to do this to the back of (the front is a foto of Marilyn Monroe). You even made the clutch look like an envelope clutch! You are so creative!!

You may want to try acrylic latex interior house paint instead or chalkboard paint t fr Dollar Tree.Those are latex based paints and they dry stretchy not stiff therefore they don't crack on non absorbent surfaces.

I loved this video, as I do your others. But I have a few cell phone wallet cases for my Android phone that I would love to do something with but didn't know if there was a finish out there that could take the constant beating and handling of daily use. In your opinion, will this triple thick finish you used, do you think it could handle it? I have one wallet case with a smooth vinyl type material, and a textured fake leather one as well. Hi Toni, thank you! I have used a plastic spray paint (it's made just for plastic) over those cell phone cases, then decoupaged over it, then I used Mod Podges Spray sealer that's meant to go over decoupage and it's handled it just fine. Always in and out of my purse and getting dropped here and there LOL/ I have a planner that I used the Triple Thick on and it also gets banged around a lot....and it's holding up beautifully. It's a few year old now too. let me know if you have any more questions ok? patti

I like this idea, but do not have a lot of faith in Chalk Paint for durability. I am a painter by trade, and CP ... no way. I would go with a good ACRYLIC based paint, it sticks better. Or even Textile/Leather paint by Jacquard. Chalk paint is made up of joint compound/chalk - and chips terribly.

Hi Juliana, I have been using chalk paint for a couple of years and I don't have problems with durability or chipping but I will say this, there are recipes out there for how to make your own chalk paint, where they do add substances that cause them to chip. I've used the Annie Sloan CP on canvas bags and the Home Decor CP and they never chip or peel for me. Some acrylic paints can end up looking plastic over fabric which is what I try to avoid. I haven't tried the textile paints but I may give it a try. :) Patti

I hear ya, I use chalk on various projects and have found other paints to be better. Textile paints by Jacquard are amazing because they don't crack. I also use professional paints (SETCOAT) by Faux Effects International - When we do sample finishes - we do them on Polystyrene boards which bend a lot. They stick to these boards...and after 6 years of moving them around and abusing them LOL... hold up amazing! Their TopCoats are the best on the market - used for countertop applications, so they have to take the abuse too. You could say this Business is the Business of Holding UP to abuse. HAHAHA I wish I had the means to do a video...I could show ya'll a lot of cool ideas.

Thanks for all that info Juliana! I also wish you would do a video-now I want to learn more-especially when you mentioned a top coat that stands up to abuse on counter tops! I'll do a search for the Setcoat b/c you know I get questions about things like this all the time-countertops, floors and once a car. I'm actually decoupaging a part of a VW bug I bought but my husband knows all about car paints and top coats so it's not something I'll recommend just anyone tries at home. If you ever get into video making, please let me know, I would love to see some of your work! Thanks again for all the info on the paints...😃 Patti
