Simple, easy instructions. Thank you, Patty. I'll be doing this very soon as I have three baskets that hold houseplants, but have no ambiance. Lovely!

THANKS AGAIN for another useful video, have a basket sitting on porch that I want to paint, it is an old but very sturdy basket, looks like a picnic basket, that my neighbor bought at a yard sale and didn't need (imagine that) but it was so cheap she couldn't pass it by.Tks Willadene

Oh so very pretty!! I am basket mad so now I'm thinking of using them through the house in the same way you made me think of using deco'd lampshades! (ie: season changes and holiday decor) How fun! ps: I just received the top coat you showed on your shoe deco project (thru your link of course!) and I'm so excited to protect the custom painted shoes I got as present from an artist friend. Giiii!

+rubymimosa Thank you so much! And how lucky are you that an artist friend gave you custom painted shoes!!! It's about time for me to do another decoupaged shoe video myself. Have fun with the baskets, they come in so handy but it's nice when they're pretty! Patti

Beautiful basket. You make it look so easy. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing

+Patricia Fisher Thank you Patricia, I hope you find it to be easy, I don't like things to be too complicated myself. I'm hoping this turns out to be something that's relaxing and satisfying to you. Once I started to work on older pieces of unwanted furniture, I couldn't believe how much I wanted to decoupage everything! :) Have a nice weekend! Patti

they are the same, I always say both because some top coats say they are flat and some say they are matte. :)

Good Morning PattiLove the basket*the hydrangea design is so pretty. It looks great with the towels in it. Would be great with a plant or even for Easter. Love it. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, I just made a hydrangea garland for the fireplace mantel with dried hyrdranges. Enjoy your day today, see you next weekdeezie

+Deneen Lotz Hi Deezie, I just left you a message on Pinterest last night. As I went to re-pin pictures, I noticed that you were the original pinner on most of them! We have very similar tastes! Hydrangeas are my favorite flower and we have about a dozen hydrangea shrubs in our yard and one tree. I feel inspired just walking in the yard sometimes. I actually have dried hydrangeas over our fireplace on the mantel. :) Patti

+patioelf Got your message :) I replied this morning. Ahhh how i love Pinterest. I have alot of hydrandeas in my yard also, they are so gorgeous. I was wondering if that was your mantel with the lights and hydrandeas where the book is. I have lights on my mantel too. Love the way the lights look on a mantelenjoy your day Pattideezie

Yes, that is my mantel with the hydrangeas and lights on it. Were you by any chance born in May? LOL I liked ONE pin today and I had to laugh b/c it was you who pinned it again. I love your tastes in everything. :) have a good one Deezie. Patti

Hello your basket is beautiful. Could you tell me if you use water-based are oil base to topcoat. Thanks and have a blessed day😍
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+Sharon Martino Hi Sharon and thank you! I always use water based top coats. If you need something to be water proof you can go with oil but it does take a lot longer to cure. (dry) hugs! Patti

Hi Patti. have you ever experimented with printing your own designs on tissue paper or other translucent type paper? I've seen some tutorials that have you tape tissue paper onto printer paper but I haven't had much luck with the feed on my printer. Wondering if you've tried it and had success
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+rachaelkoger Hi Rachael, I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one who does not have luck with getting the paper through the printer. It bunches up, the ink gets all smeared and I get frustrated wondering why everyone else can do this but me. So in answer to your question, I have tried it but I also do not have any luck with it. If you happen to come across any pointers please let me know. One thing that I did have success with is using freezer paper through my printer. this works as an excellent transfer method over an object, I transferred it right onto the napkin I was using. here's a video where I did that process. (you can FF to 5 minutes and 20 seconds into the video to get right to the transfer instructions. Let me know if this gives you any ideas. :) Patti

+patioelf do you have the link to that video? I did have some success with using tracing paper. the kind you might find near the drawing supplies. I just used some i had at home. the kind I have dried 90% sheer.. but does have a very slight visible edge. It also seemed to have a slightly waxy binding in it so it didn't wet/tear as easily as napkins but it still tore. I might to try to see what other kinds are available and use that for now, unless I watch your tutorial and it seems worth it. I just love the endless options of printing my own designs

duh! I'm so sorry, here's the link ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hp3CqKafabWbhJo & I agree, it opens up a whole lot of new possibilities when you can print your own designs.
