Hi and thank you. The spray varnish is available at hardware stores. Here in NZ I get it from Bunnings. Whatever brand you use just make sure it is water based, as oil based varnish will turn yellow over time.

Can I use the homemade mod podge as a sealer? 😊
@suzyscrafts Жыл бұрын
It will seal your work with a few coats but I wouldn't recommend it for anything that may get wet or if you sell your work. I prefer to go over things with varnish.

Lovely work. I just CANT seem to avoid bubbles and creases. Depresses me. Help.
@suzyscrafts3 жыл бұрын
Hi Zaineb, try using a little less glue. Creases are inevitable but if you don't over do the glue you can usually push them flat with your fingernail over the cling film. Or you could try pushing them flat with the back of a teaspoon. I hope this helps. Remember, it's homemade and imperfections are part of the beauty of homemade. 😊
@zainebmasood41693 жыл бұрын
Thank you Suzi. Do you glue the twine with mod podge or something else. Please do inform.
@suzyscrafts3 жыл бұрын

just wondering why you cleaned the writing off just to cover up ????
@suzyscrafts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pamela, I guess you can't really see in the video but the writing still shows through the napkins when you see it in person. Also, I like to clean it all off as I often don't decide on my final design until I'm sitting there tearing up the papers.

When I use my sponge dabber it leaves so many paint bubbles. I don't see anyone else having that problem. Idk why I do
@suzyscrafts3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it can happen. When it happens to me I go over the surface with a dry sponge dabber and that seems to smooth the bubbles out.
@theresagosling15303 жыл бұрын
Use a wet wipe, works much better than sandpaper.
@suzyscrafts3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean to prepare the jar? A wet wipe won't help the paint adhere to the glass.
