Short and sweet, not to mention very informative and easy to understand. Purple is my very favorite color and looks so beautiful against the opalescent looking white paint. I’m beginning to appreciate rice paper instead of napkins for its sturdiness. I recently bought a package of three sized water brushes at Dollar General and can’t wait to use them for its ease of use; back and forth dipping with a brush was a nuisance. All I can say is you always bring sophistication to your projects and wonderful helpful hints.

Hello my sweet friend! I just love purple too, and the little bees are just so darn cute. Water brushes are the ticket! So so so convenient. And rice paper is wonderful. I'm glad you liked this video. I know it's simple, but there are a lot of viewers out there that are just starting decoupage, so it's nice to have an easy project once in a while. Thanks for always watching and sending me messages. Have a wonderful day my friend 💖🤗😘

Our church is planning their annual women’s retreat. We are considering having a craft session as part of the weekend. I watched your video on the mason jar pump decoupage. I have some questions. You mention drying times which might make doing this not possible. I have considered doing some steps in advance, such as coating the jar with the multi surface product and painting with the chalk paint. The only steps during the craft session would include placing the paper and then applying the final varnish coats. In your video, you say that this process from decoupage to final product could actually take about four hours. It takes two hours to dry after decoupage. then two hours between coats when applying the final varnish coat. Can you think of a way to do this project within a two hour timeframe? Also, would you use Rice, paper or a napkin for decoupage?
@masoncreationsetcАй бұрын
Hi Sandra, I would say that putting the multi surface lacquer on the day before and let it dry overnight, would be a good idea. If you use chalk paint, that would dry fairly quickly, about 15 minutes. So you could do that during the session. If you're going to use the Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish as your decoupage glue and varnish, that dries fairly fast. Glue down the image with the Polyvine and then give it about 45 minutes. Then you can give the entire jar a final coat of the varnish. It will be dry to the touch and can be moved or transported in about 20 minutes. It takes about 24-48 hours to be completely cured and ready for use. I hope this helps. Let me know how your session went. I'd love to hear, and see some pictures. You can email them to me. I'll leave you my email address in case you'd like to share. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time so send me a message 😊💖 📧 My email: masoncreationsetc@yahoo.com

Can just using mod podge be sufficient enough?
@masoncreationsetc6 ай бұрын
Hi there! I'm really not a fan of mod podge. It's too wet which causes bubbles and wrinkles. You could use it as your decoupage adhesive, but you may get bubbles. As far as a varnish, I do not recommend it at all. If you brush it over the image you just decoupaged, it will start causing problems by reactivating the layer underneath. It will lift, bubble and wrinkle. Mod podge takes a full month to cure, so anytime it gets wet with itself or any other products it will reactivate again. I only use Polyvine products for decoupaging and varnishing. My preference is the Heavy Duty Wood Varnish. You can use it on any surface, not just wood. If you're going to paint and decoupage on anything shiny like glass or ceramic, you'll need to coat with Multi surface lacquer first to prevent peeling, chipping and scratching. I'll leave you links below. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖 Polyvine Heavy Duty Wood Varnish: decoupagenapkins.com/products/polyvine-heavy-duty-wood-varnish?sca_ref=3969749.C8aAXEduCt Multi Surface Lacquer matte finish: decoupagenapkins.com/products/polyvine-multi-surface-lacquer?variant=43943562805469&sca_ref=3969749.C8aAXEduCt

Just a quick question…..I know u use string on this craft but if u wanted to use raffia type material do u use ribbon or grass?

I have a question on resins. Can you do a tutorial on resins and what to buy and how to use them. I’m getting so confused with different names I’m finding, like…casting resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, etc. I’m so confused. All I want to try is what I see in videos, like IOD, where they equally mix two different liquids together and pour it into a mold, wait a short while, it cures and it’s good to go. Can you please Solve the mystery and recommend a good brand? Thanks….
@masoncreationsetc8 ай бұрын
Hi there, funny you asked about this. I have been thinking about doing a video on the casting resin. That's the one that sets up fast. It's awesome, no fumes and it sets up in 10 minutes. You can paint it and do anything you want with it. The detail from the molds is amazing because it's liquid. It captures every minute detail. I will do a video on that within the next couple of weeks. I already have a couple of videos lined up that I'm working on, but I'll get to it as quick as I can. 😊💖😘
@gizmo78778 ай бұрын
@@masoncreationsetc funny how we are both thinking about the same things, not the first time either that you mentioned it. Thanks for doing the research, it will be an enormous help. The resins produce much better results than clay, glue or polyester caulking. The more perfect the results, the happier I am crafting. 😀
@masoncreationsetc8 ай бұрын
Hahaha, you're right. We've done this before. You are going to be in love with the casting resin. You won't believe the results. You will definitely be a happy crafter 😊💖

You said you used varnish and decoupage. I thought you didn't use decoupage.
@masoncreationsetcАй бұрын
Hi Robyn, I think you're confusing the word decoupage, which is the act of gluing images to an item, with the product mod podge, which is a glue. I do decoupage using Polyvine products, but I do not use mod podge. I find that the Polyvine products give you a much more professional outcome. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
