To simplify it, the city on the newspaper gives you the code to enter in the computer while getting the numbers on the chart gives you the ACTUAL city to enter in the computer, NOT the newspaper.

For Anybody Struggling With This Here's How I Did It 1. Figure Out The Pattern Of Your Missing Numbers Inside The Coded Paper (Seperate Red From Blue) Ex. My Red Numbers Pattern Was Increasing By 6 But Then It Finalized To 4, My Blue Numbers Was Decreasing By 5) 2. After You Figure It Out See If YOUR Code Matches Any Of The Numbers In The Station Broadcast 3. After You've Found One That Matches Look At The Newspaper 4. The Newspaper Will Highlight Some Letters That'll Match A City From The Station Broadcast. Write The Letters Down In The Order They're Given In The Title. 5. Find Which City Matches The Letters That Was Given From The Newspaper. 6. To Decrypt The Code, Put In The Number From The City The Newspaper Gave You But Put The City Name Of The First Code That Matched The Coded Paper.

While the colorblind support in the game itself is excelent, there is a slight oversight with these puzzles. I had to look up walkthrough to find out that there are actually differently colored letters and numbers in those clues and then get my brother to point out which one are the colored ones to be able to even have an attempt to solve it. Explanation Below: There are 2 parts to this encryption. The first part is the piece of paper you receive from Qasim and the second part are the red letters from the newspaper. Unscramble the red letters from the newspaper, the word you come up with should match one of your cities in the Numbers Station Broadcast. Now use that city (the one you got from the newspaper and unscrambled the letters) passcode as the passcode for the computer. Next use the 2 numbers you decrypted from Qasim’s paper and match those numbers up with a city on the Numbers Station Broadcast. This city will be your passphrase. Hope this helps.

For anyone struggling, the coded letter is needed to figure out the passphrase by using those numbers on the broadcast list. After you need to use the newspaper letters highlighted to make a city name in the broadcast list and when you find it that number next to it is the code needed

If you’re trying to get the trophies/achievements for completing these side missions, you don’t need to decrypt this to complete the mission. You can also pick 3 random suspects for the other one. Just say yes on the warning message when you go to launch and do everything as normal.

For the Code, you find it in "The front Page of the Observer" evidence. Match the anagram with the "Number Station Broadcast" location and you ONLY need the 4 numbers corrosponding to the location for the code As for the Passphrase, you need to solve "A Coded Message" evidence to find the location. Match the code with the location and you ONLY need the location for the Passphrase. Chuck those two puzzles in the Decryption machine and you should solve it.

If people are still confused like I was this is how I figured it out. 1. The news paper has red letters those red letters are an anagram that spells out a city. Right that city down. 2. The coded message is the easiest part to do but you have to find the difference between the numbers each colour needs to be done separately so right all the red numbers down in a line and do the same with the blue and try and figure out what the missing numbers are. 3. After you've done that you'll have some numbers right those numbers down that you got from the coded message then go to the number station broadcast. 4. When you've let the person finished speaking find the city that you got from the newspaper and write down the numbers that are next to that city. That will be the numbers you put in first. Then go back to the numbers you got from the coded message and whatever number you got the city next to it will be the city you put in the second part of the computer. ------------ And that sould be it. Hope this helps. ------------ I hope this help sorry if my English and spelling is a bit off its because I'm dyslexic I had a super hard time figuring out the solution but this video pointed me in the right direction and I found my result in the end but had to go over what he did a couple of time before I understand what he did.

Has anybody encountered a "This text is inappropriate" error after entering the right (I've triple checked) code and passphrase? Instead of getting the "Authenticate" prompt, I get a screenshot saying, "This text is inappropriate" and a Dismiss option. Guys, i found an easy strat! Look at your news paper, decypher what it says, then look at the code matching to the area you got from the news paper in the numbers station broadcast. After you type in the code at the floppy disc, try all the other different area Names unrelated to the code you got in the numbers station broadcast. Eventually you will get it. You DO NOT have to figure out the coded message.

The city name marked in red letters you found in your specific newspaper evidence piece, find that city in the catalogue and note the code that it is matched with. Step 3: Enter them. Common misconception is that you enter the code you derived yourself and the city name marked in red letters in the newspaper but you don’t. You are using the code you derived to figure out the city name that matches that code, and the city name in your newspaper you are using to figure out the code that matches that city if you understand me. This was a pain. The only thing you gotta understand is the newspaper code. Forget the red and blue numbers thing. Match the City/Stat you get from the newspaper to the numbers next to it and that's your first code you put in. The second code is a City/Stat (NOT THE NEWSPAPER CITY/STAT). Go to the evidence where you see the City\Stat with numbers next to it and your second code is ONE OF THE CITY\STATS they have listed. Write the City/Stats down and put them in one by one until you get it. Remember the first code YOU have (THE NUMBERS) is the same while the second code is a random City/Stat. The problem was, that I spent several hours, trying to Decrypt the Floppy Disk Code. I tried the exact numbers, and the City’s name, it kept saying, Access Denied. I got frustrated.

The first code you get from the newspaper clipping IS THE MAIN PASSWORD. Once you find out the blue and red numbers, that will give you another code. Use that code to match a city name. THAT CITY NAME IS THE OTHET MAIN PASSWORD

Just so you know the numbers aren’t always liner I got a line that was exponential,So instead of add 4 each time (4,8,12,16) it was add 2 to the number that you added previously [4(+4),8(+6),14(+8),22(+10)]

1 Use the News paper and write down the red letters in order left to right and find the city and that would be your code. For me it was Charleston and it was 0756 that was the code 2 the paper coding is hard...like he said its random but what I did is the blue was adding up by 4 and the Red was using even numbers like 2 4 6 8 and I ended up with 6257 and got New York So for me it it was 0756, Paraphrase was New York. Disclaimer *Its Always random what I did was my version of what I got so it will be different so don't use my example*

I figured it out. First thing I was wrong about my secondary code 7283. It was 0083 making it Detroit. This was more helpful but still not the answer. The correct answer was 4512 - Detroit The newspaper is gonna be your numbers while the math one will be your state
