In Paradise Lost, it was mentioned that the army of rebel angels found strange creatures already dwelling on the dark shores of the underworld. I imagine this is a similar concept; indigenous species of hell's deepest hinterlands which, unlike the fallen angels/demons, _never_ knew the warm touch of heaven's divine light. They are pure, mindless expressions of evil, empty of notions like the self-righteousness and ego that drive Satan and his companions.

With 40k I can understand to an extent why some people fall to chaos. Like I can see some people doing that in our world if it existed.
