A tip for any solo players running a singleplayer game is to take your tames through the first door one at a time. There is a load zone, and during it's loading dino's can walk through walls and fall through the map. Lost several rex's my first attempt that way.

For anyone still looking to do this the carcharodontosaurus fits the entrance to the cave, so it now is pretty much the best creature to use to lead into the cave, its tail swing can push many things into the lava its regen is great and with guaranteed bloodlust it is extremely strong

How to make a "train" of dinos: Line them all up in the desired order, two-by-two is best. Jump on the lead dino (probably the one you'll be riding) and whistle follow specifically to the two right behind you. Then jump on one of those (that you just whistled to) and whistle follow to the pair behind that one, and so on to the last. This keeps all the dinos in a neat parade, so they don't crowd or trap you. A word of warning: GO SLOWLY. If one dino in the train ends up falling in the lava, the rest behind will mindlessly follow! If that happens, whistle follow to the one in the lava (if it can get out), or to the first savable one behind it.

Yes to this! Also would add, with theriz you can get away with a train 2 wide, but if you are using creatures that jump or that have a bigger turn radius (such as Allos or Rexes) do one wide. And, I usually recommend people who haven't done this before to set up their train before they get in the tech cave just on the beach somewhere and practice leading it around. Lead it around boulders and obstacles on the beach and try to get a feel for the follow distance you need between each creature or group, as well as how well they tend to turn. Some creatures can do fine on a low follow distance, theriz for example, some other creatures (Allos, stegos, etc) will get stuck on each other at that follow distance and do better with a medium follow distance. Also. Especially if you are doing this solo, put the creatures in the train in a different whistle group from the couple tank creatures up front that you will be using to clear the way.

Finished gamma overseer my very first time with a friend that lagged out after we cleared the cave, didnt hear from them after that, I even waited till the timer reached 1 min for them to get to the arena spot, I was so devastated I had to leave them because without him i dont think I would have made it on my own, my stress levels were extremely high, I kept going in disappointment realizing the timers seconds away, by some miracle the timer started going negative, i realized i was safe to keep going, I couldnt think right going in the boss fight leaving my friend that i had no idea what happen to him until way later. Managed to kill it, for some reason. That ascend didnt hit right, shoutout to my friend who didnt make it and thanks to this video we went in prepared ! Thank you !

Even in the teleport room you still incapable of use cryopods to drop out some dinos? I mean i thought we would be able to run the lava cave with some stealth creatures like shadowmane and once we reach the teleport room we could drop out cryopods the rest of the Dino's, 😢

Also the timer at the top of the screen is only for the tek cave portion. Once you have teleported up. The time does not matter. You can chill and set up everyone well past 0 on the clock.

I've only soloed successfully once on gamma, but my strategy was pretty basic.... had to use dinos from off map. Cloaked drake walked the whole way down to the door not fighting anything. Then, walked back up to the ledge fighting the purlovia, microraptors and a few sets of allo, theris and a few kapros. There's a lot, but most can be pulled to the lava by climbing the surrounding walls and shooting them. When the area is cleared throw out your army. I used 6 good shadows.

Something to be aware of...the area around the teleporter has freezing water like the Strong ice cave. Be careful not to let your army fall in, very hard to retrieve them if they do.

Sorry I won’t know I haven’t tested modded creatures my guess is you cannot deploy a soul terminal. Brachio would definitely be above the drag wait to teleport up on the terminal too

thank you! i play console official, and i started the island 5 days ago (after being on other maps) and i've done the 3 alpha bosses solo so far and am only 2 tributes shy of being able to try the tek cave - i'm scared lol. this was a good refresher as it was years ago i last tried this. I'm thinking of using shadowmanes as they can cloak and stroll through the cave + they're all i really have ready, but then i'd not have a yuti which concerns me. I'd not want to do this solo with rex's, they turn like a bus and guaranteed i'd lose a few en route. fingers crossed i can be off the island within a week of starting, my initial goal was two weeks but am well ahead of schedule.

Shadowmanes are a great choice. If you stay cloaked the entire time you may not need to worry about the purlovia and micro raptors. I like a yuti to scare them though

Good Call. I took 18 Rexes and 2 Yutis. Three got stuck in the walls the abt. 12 jumped into various lava pits and the last onese were slaughtered. I wished I knew about ths traing thing.

I’m prepping for alpha tek cave. It’s been a long journey and I’ve beaten scorched earth before the island due to prepping with breeding plus I still can’t find a darn alpha leedys haha. They know I need them and they are like nope. But I’m mostly taking tickle chickens, and Ceratos with a few Rex’s along with my beloved Yuty and healing piglet. I’ll be riding my stego in the tek cave and boss with my Yuty courage roar going and passive since I’ve heard stegos can’t be fear roared but after seeing this has now gotten me worried that was not accurate on stegos not being able to be fear roared

I’m going to try with my stego since it’s ready (along with my hoard of mutated tek Dino’s which took a long time to breed (I see now the labor of love known as ark haha) but I’m super nervous. Now to find that pesky alpha leedys cause it’s holding me up. Do you know the best location for them to spawn? I tried between carno island and herb island killing everything with zero luck. I just need its tribute. I appreciate this video though as it is simple and easy to follow and helped me get an idea of the layout of the tek cave which makes me feel better not taking as many Rex’s given they turn are like a semi-truck

@@Crabbytron I saw Rex’s either don’t make it into tek cave or the fall into the lava in the more narrow areas so I picked the Cerato’s since they are smaller and more nimble plus their buff to heal other carnivores mixed with healing pig would be a good addition for the alpha dragon overseer fight

I have a couple questions. Is there a timer for the tek cave in singleplayer, there wasn't one in the other boss fights. Also, how many creatures can teleport from the pad at the end of the tek cave? Never done it legit and I need to know. 😊

It’s like most boss fights 20 creatures. Because you are single player and only able to do one teleport so you’ll need all your creatures on the pad ready to teleport. I’ve not done much so single player. But when I was shooting some B roll it still gave me the 5 mins door timer and 55 mins for rest of cave. Once you enter the overseer arena there is no time limit

Lol, as a boss fight runner, I just get all my customers in the fight naked (if I lose timer to transfer stuff) or with primitive flak, 100 med brews, food and water recipes. And at the end, transmitter bag with a giga to kill it :P Smalltribes Win10 op P.D.: No one dies

Can't you take all 50 dinos to the boss fight? why bother with shoulder pets then? I mean, aren't they also counted to enter the cave to begin with? I have my otter and yuti plus 48 theris, cant I just tp with my 50 dinos? (supposing I manage to clutch and not loose them in the way, lol) Also I've read somewhere you can use mammoth courage drums to ignore fear, makes a lot of sense and the reason I don't have one is because I'm alone, so, noote to hit those drums on the way

tek cave doesn't have level requirements, not even alpha, you can do it at low level just need to get your hands on the trophy heads somehow. Of note as well is that at least on official pve servers dinos can actually be unpodded in the cave, this can be done untill the point where raasclark first pulled the second giga. This for instance allows you to bring a giga in which makes the cave section a lot easyer. There is no real limit to how often you can teleport, on official it is quite common for fights to have 80+ people and dinos, and i have done at least 3 groups on unofficial servers. There is still a limit of 20 creatures/10 people per teleport however. Another thing of note, the tek cave door itself is a death trap, dont get too close to it before it opens, standing up against it or running your dino into it will kill you and your tame, and you will most likely not be able to recover your stuff. other then the mark about alpha needing lvl 100 great video! just wanted to add this info to help my fellow arkers :D

I played PVE and we could not uncryo a tame in there is it just official you can? Weird distinction on that. I’d hate to walk a giga through. So narrow 😅 but that’s really interest. The level requirements are in the terminal so does at least one survivor need to be that level to open it?

@@Crabbytron yeah its a bit weird that in this one case official allows something other servers cant. Couldnt find anything in server settings to make it similar on unofficial. So yeah i gues only 1 person needs 100, i know i have had lvl 80 players on both official and unofficial alpha

Another thing, the trophies required are not consumed, unlike with other bosses. Meaning you can keep the trophies and do it another time without the need to collect them again

Are you playing ASA or ASE new ASA dino pathfinding they don’t go into the lava as easily. You only have 5 mins to get through the door. This will be the biggest issue you get cave lag and getting 50 though the door seems crazy. You can teleport more than once if you have more than one person in ASE I would bring a couple of spares if needed

Place them all in a line. Go to the second last dino and ride it. While riding whistle the one behind to follow. Then go to the one in front of that and whistle the one behind to follow and repeat this until you get to the front dino which you will be riding

Did they change this cave? We used to walk 2-3 gigas down the path, destroy everything, ph dart the giga into lava and pod the gigas at the end and unpod the rexes for an easy fight. This just looks painful

Yeah bats are OP. Shadowmanes too as you can use them to fight overseer too. But if you are doing island only you’ll have to do it old fashioned way

@@leonilsonbezerra4006 you can’t unpod anything in the teleport room. You could tek jet pack and shotgun. if you stealth through or bring a whole shadowmane army in stealth which you can do if they are close to the alpha female
