We’ll done sir. I like the way that you break down techniques fully, especially foot position and range. I find that those are two areas that are overlooked by newer practitioners.

I like this art kind of like Aikido, but more complete. Thank you so much.

Wonderful video master, I always look at your teaching trying to improve mine, and learning new details that I have lost or forgotten. Today I have a question, why did you say when finishing the evolving defense from the roundhouse kick (3:31), that "you can strike but, in hapkido we don't do this", is that some kind of etiquette? Thanks so much for sharing master 👍🏼

Thank you sir. In Hapkido, the basic philosophy is not harming anyone. If anyone attacks me, I redirect, absolve and use my opponent's energy and make it favorable to me.... in the end, I want to control my opponent without harming/hurting him too much. Ideally, I want to talk to my opponent rather than smashing his/her face. I believe it is a true self defence avoiding the situation without harming/hurting anyone. I know it is not easy...

@@self-defence thank you master! It is clear to me now, the only difference is that we do finish every technique with a strike, punch, lock, among others, but we share the philosophy 👍🏼.

Very helpful video. I wonder if you could write down the korean name of the technic and its translation in english. Thanks a lot

A little concerned about the flat-hand, fingers-extended downward blocks. Kicks do not always follow "kata perfect" paths. Fingers that take a kick at the fingertips will break.
