Hey, Kindly help me out on how I can deal with the slow build up when I lose the ball to my opponent. I want my players to be going back fast to defend when they lose the ball, they seem to be very slow especially when I lose the ball halfway on the opponent’s side.. And I also want to be very tight with my defending and marking as well, my players seem to be wide, I have tried almost all tactics and instructions but still facing the same issue bro.. Please help me on that, what can I do to tackle these issues?

I’ve found defending impossible so far on this game. Even if I feel like I’ve won the ball, it still finds a way to bounce back to the opponent. Was a Division 3 player last year and already considering giving up with FUT this year because it’s been so stressful.

Tbh i'm in the same boat as some players here. I skipped FIFA 22 pretty much and i did play a lot of FIFA 21 and back in the day i was struggling a lot with defending as well. For some reason i cant program myself to right stick switching and i know is a big part of defending in this game but even tho my experience on PC so far is being terrible. I have Koundé,Varane,Hernandez and sometimes even a simple 1 v 1 , my players are just stuck in a motion for at least a second and even when i sprint and start jockey,it just feels my player is never " connected " to the attacker. I know a lot of players playing atm are that good,but i still dont understand why even when i switch to my players and trying to press for example,all my players are slugging,slow and not reacting ,meanwhile on the other side all players are supersonic,clear all balls,pressing 100% right time. So yeh i guess maybe i need to accept i'm that bad and stop playing FIFA's ,cause the way i see everyone sprinting and running around while using jockey,is really not the experience i have this year at all and i dont know what i m doing wrong tbh ( I was always like a DIV 3 player,12-14 Wins WL in fifa 21 )

This is good stuff, great video. But if you are a guy like me who stoped playing fifa in fifa 16 and is getting back into it now, its just too many things to do at the same time. my brain cant keep up. Back in the day all i needed to do was run and press standing or sliding tackle depending on the situation. i had records of 1000-100 at the end of fifas back in the day now i suck hard. Every game feels like my team is bronze and the opponents are super saiyans. xD

A lot of the goals that I concede are after corners and especially when there is clutter in the box and the ball rebounds back to the attacker. Some people say that corners and headers are RNG but to me, I really hate to concede these goals because I feel helpless. Furthermore, a lot of time I jockey with the full back to keep my base and not overcommit to the wingers on the wing and the ball just go out to a corner which is fine but the problem is that defending them feels random

I need to improve my defending, when to back off, when to commit. I'm struggling this year. 22 I was winning most games. Now I'm banging my head against the wall!! Seeing your tutorials on dribbling with left stick and I think many online are doing this against me, so will need to adapt. Also, the L1 R1 + Through ball I need to try, never done it. In division 6 at moment and so many players' are exploiting it's unreal.

Bro no tactic or defense is helping when EA decides u to lose,my opponents are running through me and passing the ball in to my 5 meters and that’s goal,no chance to defend that,my CB are running from the attacker and if I want the to tackle they are still not reacting…I have watched all videos here and all suggestions are appreciated but that nothing is helping against EA

Hi @Dylan - with 60 dept in the defence tactics - how are you guys stopping easy through balls from all over the pitch - its like the opposing players know there is huge gaps in the back 4 or back 5 (i cannot defend it as they have high speedy players up top and they're through on goal so easy) Anyone else experiencing this?

These guys know how to blocks 3 passing lanes at once also they have no issue to to concede two goals because they would score 6 . Using Dylan's defending tactics is suicide for the intermediate palyers

Why are my defenders so fucking deep down the pitch? I play 63 depth but my defenders are literally sitting inside my box. It makes it so the opponent can just pass to his striker and he can immediately just shoot because my defenders are so deep down so he doesn't need to get past them to score. It makes it fucking impossible to defend. I'm spamming offside traps to try and get my fucking defenders to not sit in my box all the time but somehow they always end up there anyway. Fucking dogshit weird game. And my opponents defenders are always super high up making it so I have to get past his insane centerbacks everytime to score. (I'm on old gen btw)
