Man I am absolutely getting cooked in division 8 😅. New to FIFA/FC. Really only played fifa 23 during the summer for card grinds off of my friends accounts. Loved the sbc grinds for the futties. Didn’t play fc24. Got fc 25 but I haven’t ever really properly played before. Where do I start even? To defend I hold R2 and X to get to the opponent but then my players just stay a few feet away from them?

I've been struggling for about 7 days now.. cant seem to defend at fucking all.... even with jockey movement, all my opponent simple dribble away and create a stupid easy amount of space and chances... now that im using the RB button and focus more on second man press and manually occupy the open spaces.. The result is un-****!ing-believeble. For the first time i really enjoyed the game and went up 5-0 in 55 minutes.. I didnt play fifa for about 2 years and used to be a elite 1 player, now getting slammed in div 5 is no joke 😂😂. Thanks for the amazing tips bro, it helped so much that i had to write this comment 😂🎉

So is it best to just left trigger and move towards the attacker for a tackle? and is this on legacy defending? I've recently been always using B and RB for the extended lunge but defo running into those issues you mentioned when doing this

You need to apply the correct player roles to your players

@jameshall1657 so your team press. The roles of each player they need to be on for example defender + or ++ etc that stuff. Same for your midfield and attack
