@@dcbaollie5734 the plus and plus plus triggers something called FC IQ meaning the AI of that player is more switched on. I’d assume not having it or having an exclamation mark makes them worse for positioning and runs etc

Brother it was smooth sailing in div5 with all the reasonable squads, when I got promoted to div4 the P2Ws started showing up game after game, played 6 games so far in div4 all opponents had 1m+ in non first owned players, we gotta give it a few weeks before we have players that can stand against these whales, its their game for now.

Just an excuse imo, if you’re a decent enough player you can get the best team possible it just takes a bit longer but I never wasted a penny on that game and still had as competitive team as anyone who spent money the same this year with some grind I already have a decent team to at least compete against good squads….. this new role things is actually cool cuz it makes you try newer formations and tactics, saying is pay to win its Just an excuse honestly

I usually run my LM or LW as a striker on tactics where I use to run a 4-1-2-1-2 now this fifa u can’t even put a winger or LM as a fucken striker without getting the exclamation mark what’s the point of tactics then?? Lets say I put Foden as a RWW in my default 433 formation where he has ++ inside role. Will he keep the ++ role if I transition him to a RM in game? Because if not this fc IQ sucks. There are not many affordable options to play as META as possible..

Can you not change player position? Like if you want to move some player up and down For example, a Lw if you want to move him a bit up or down Can you not do it? Also on settings , can you adjust game play speed??

The player's positions "CF" and "WB", don't exist anymore and it's not possible to edit the position of the player (for example, when using a 4-2-3-1, you can't put one of the CDM's as CM, as well as you can't adjust the position of the player), from what i could see.

So, we are unable to attack in one formation and then defend in another one? Explains why I was left confused. This is essentially false advertising by EA! In the deep dive, they specifically highlighted that this year, you could customize the formation for both attack and defense separately (Showing Real Madrid defending in a 4-2-2 and transitioning to a 4-2-3-1 in attack). However, as per your video, this is not possible?

I just wish you could drag the players around to have custom positioning, This feels boring and static, I got really excited when the Zidane intro was playing. With him pumping up how crucial tactics were and how creative you can be. Then i hop on it (season's , i hate FUT.) and then shit is shown to me. It falls short. horrid presentation in the hub for Tactics really not the customization i wanted. Just feel like some one made their first custom tactics u.i

In settings turn OFF "reaction time modifier". After i did that, the menu is not so laggy, even the gameplay is a bit better.

I have 2 problems….. First is how do I keep my team compact when defending…. I’ve noticed my defenders just give space for AI to waltz through the middle, and before one can react they’ve already made an attempt on goal. Secondly, I’ve figures out for some reason when I change player instructions or formation during half time, this game makes automatic substitutions for me….. And there’s no way of finding out the player until you start second half

How important is maintaining chemistry in-game?

If you check your players stats on the squad screen you can see. Have them on full chemistry and click R3, then do the same with them off chemistry. The stats are much less, and also this year they won't play any roles you assign them either, so it's best to keep everyone on chemistry.

Anyone find the custom tactics deactivate themselves mid game now? I usually switch to a more attacking formation at half time but later if i go to make a sub the preset changes back to what it was when i start the game? This didnt happen the first 2 and a half to 3 weeks only just started doing it this week for me. And changes are fully activated before going into the second half so shouldnt be an issue

This is 1 step forward and another backwards, we've always been able to change where we play someone (quite) "freely" in the past with position changes and afterwards with prefered positions, but this is so restrictive. But then I just surrendered to what the game was telling me, that you have to play really slow chess-like football... forget about skilling except for inside the 11y. 95% of the pitch is just passing. I do prefer the arcady fast paced fifa of old.. but this is kinda satisfying aswell when you actually get into the grove of it
