Can a cartridge be left in the gun for an extended period of time?

It is a PCP rifle and like a PCP rifle it can be left pressurized. We do recommend a drop of silicone oil (like RWS Chamber Lube) on the o-ring that it seats against from time to time.

Will you be making Nitrogen Cylinders for 12 gram Capsules in future ???

Good question that I'm really unable to answer. What I do know, and admittedly from reading an old Pyramyd blog, is that for use in air pistols, the recommended fill of N2 is 1.8 grams in a 12 gram-sized capsule and it will give you fewer total shots than CO2. The advantage being that it should not lock up the valve in temperatures below the operating temp of CO2.

Can you substitute the nitro for CO2 in the air javelin?

Sorry, it will not work. The AirJavelin will not puncture the NitroAir cartridge. This is by design because NitroAir has too much pressure for the AirJavelin.

Good question. On the 1800 psi reg in our testing we regularly get 45 shots. This was confirmed by some American Airgunner people. They stated they were getting 4-1/2 mags and .22 mags hold 10.

What size Allen wrench is needed?

The degas screw takes a 5mm Allen wrench. One should have come with the rifle.

Those cylinders on those are like 24 bucks for 2. That's a pretty high price.

This is a great way to get started in the sport who may not have an additional $500 to get a scope and a compressor without creating debt. Low investment.

Good question. The exterior threading is the same. The head of the cartridge is inset. The piercing mechanism has more thread engagement than the standard CO2 piercing mechanism.
