The Umarex Komplete NCR is available in .177 or .22 and is in my opinion a gamechanger! Is this just the beginning for Nitro powered air rifles? Watch this and see what AA thinks about it.

I was originally looking to get a CO2 semi auto air rifle and bought this on a whim instead. At first I thought I made a mistake, considering the cost of the extra cartridges , but after doing a lot of research while waiting for it to arrive, I now believe it’s a great gun. First off it’s under $200 with Scope, cartridge. It’s more powerful than any PCP I could find for less than $350, and compared to guns in the $1000’s. Also it doesn’t have issues with cold weather, light trigger, 2 10 shot mags, quiet,etc. Now I admit it would be expensive to use for target shooting, but for the occasional small game or pest control, it’s the best value out there imo.

Thanks for a great review on this airgun, I just got one in .177 and it’s awsome. I really like the idea of it no hand pumping or tanks or compressors too deal with and it’s really accurate. I think once other shooters try it they will really like it.

Can you test how long you can leave a punctured Nitro cartridge inside before it starts to leak, lose pressure, ruin the seals or cause damage, etc. Maybe shoot it 5-10 times with a new Nitro cartridge then let it sit for a month and see what sort of damage or loss of pressure has happened

Does this nitro cylinder have the same thread as the 80 or 90 gram Co2? Can this nitro be use on the Air Javelin Co2 version?
@airgunangie17
@airgunangie17 2 ай бұрын
That is a question for Umarex, I really don’t know and wouldn’t suggest trying it without consulting them first.
@UmarexAir
@UmarexAir 2 ай бұрын
The threading is the same but the surface that pierces is different. The NitroAir cartridge has an inset piercing surface whereas an 88 gram CO2 cartridge has a piercing surface on the very tip or surface of the tip of the cartridge. The piercing mechanism on the Komplete engages more threading than a CO2 cartridge because there's a different in pressure being 850 psi for CO2 and 3600 psi in NitroAir. It's important to note that if a person was to apply 3600 psi to a system that is only designed for 850-1000 psi it could be dangerous and should not be done. This is why the piercing surface on NitroAir is inset. Hope this helps!

Should be retested using a budget scope and pellets . Not everyone can pony up the bread for a Hawke scope and boutique pellets . If I was a new airgun shooter I would rather pick a multi-pump or break barrel any day , and or anytime, then all you need is pellets and the gun . Most of time 26 fpe is not really needed to take out a pest . 200.00 for this rifle is over the top , so its a definite nah I don't think so for me 👎🤔🤐.

Umarex on FB just blocked me because I told them the truth about the cost of shooting the Komplete and the lack of support from the airgun community for this, IMO, mistake. It reminds me of the Daisy caseless ammo disaster in the 1970s. Umarex, you can block me, but that doesn't change the reality of the excessive cost of shooting your black plastic gun. A .22 LR rimfire would be better in every way
@Backyard_ShootingAA

I understand your point BUT, just because that's how you feel about it doesn't mean it's a truth for everyone. Some people love it, yes I am one of them. I understand your point and it's absolutely valid. Others have valid points as well, and not everyone can own a firearm so airguns are a great substitute. :) Happy shooting Sir! :)
@edmusick7794
@edmusick7794 Ай бұрын
@Backyard_ShootingAA my point, as you put it, isn't based on feelings. It's based on sound economics and facts. I agree that some people may enjoy it before they realize the cost of actually shooting it. Then, it'll be regulated to the back of their closet. Fact, a majority of the airgun community doesn't appear to support this platform, especially, again, the cost to operate it. My Ruger 10/22 or GSG 16 runs rings around it for a faction of the cost and that's very important in this economy. My 2-cents.

i think it's a great concept and the more that are sold, the less the price might be on the cartridges in the future, right? I doubt it, otherwise they would have designed it to be refillable instead of a toss away tank, which will have an impact on land fill sites, carbon footprint etc. Come out with a tank that has the OPTION to be refilled at that price point and I'm sold!

😂😂😂 do not fall for this airgunners all they hafta do is make an adapter with a phoster male fitting and a cheep 60 dollar 380cc tank from tuxen that's all y'all hafta do just make a drop adapter with a male phoster fitting and you can put what ever bottle you want and a check hand pump that costs 40 to 60 dollars easy 😂😂😂

Buy a gauntlet one or two don't buy this gun until they make a bottle adopter for it cause buy those does nitro cartridges is overly expensive so umarex make a bottle adapter in a carbon fiber bottle for that thing so we can refill it so we don't have to spend all that money for just air

So I have always enjoyed your channel Angie and as I was watching this video right up till the end I had high hopes you were not going to say that this was a budget friendly air rifle and you almost made it but then as with all the other top AIr gun channels you went there and try to push this as a more budget option which it is not. The only issue I have with this air rifle and all of you trying to push it as a budget air rifle is that the air cartiridges cost $23.99 at pyramyd air plus shipping so that is over $25 to only get 80 to 90 shots. Your average shooter even the occasional one will shoot at least 80shots in one sitting. even if they only shoot once a week that is $100 a month. You can get an air venture hand pump for $129 and an Umarex Notos for $269 and your good to go no extra expense for air after that. And the Notos is a 50yd gun as well and verry accurate I know because I own one. And then trying to say well there are some people that may only want to use it to take a pest or 2 in there back yard and only shoot once in awhile and because a break barrel is hold sensitive and they may not like a break barrel well they can ger a crosman 362 in .177 or.22 variable pump action rifle for $109 and at 30yds it will take out any pest up to large rabbits at that range I know because I own the anniversary 362 and thye are easy to pump and they shoot just like a PCP and you do not have to worry about buying air. If you do the math shooting up 1 tin of 500 pellets will cost you $150 in air catridges at $24 per 2 cartidges So with all that said and the after you crunch those numbers how does that make this gun a budget friendly option in my humble opinion it does not at all make it budget friendly. I am in no way trying to be a jerk either or trying to attack anyone but facts are facts. And as far as break barrels go if you spend a little more money and get a nice weihrauch HW50s, HW30s or a beeman R7 or R9 you will not only have a super accurate easy to shoot and long lasting air rifle you will be passing down for generations to come you will be much happier in the long runn and a better shooter as well. And you know as well as I do that all of those are very accurate out to 50yds on top of the fact that Weihrauch makes under lever air rifles as well like the HW77K which is one of my personal favorites. Now I am not saying this is a bad gun and I am sure some people will be happy to buy it what I am saying that in the long run this is not a budget friendly gun and in a very short time for most people they will have spent more money then it would have cost them to get a PCP air rifle with a hand pump or compressor I mean hell even a air tank refill bottle because the cost will keep adding up as you keep having to buy air catridges. On top of the fact that your shooting capibility is based on if the catridges are in stock or not and you can actually get them. So not a winner in my book but that is my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Great video. I bought this gun, but haven't fired it yet. I have no doubt it will do what I want it to. I have no intention of shooting it all day everyday so the nitro cost is irrelevant. You made some great points that applied to people exactly like ME. I'm getting older and a break barrel is hard on my shoulder. Also, suppose I miss the pesky varmint... He might not wait two minutes for me to reload. Then, you consider that I can leave the nitro tank in so it's ready when I need it. And, the weather doesn't matter. Additionally, I'm sure I can get the cheap included scope sighted in for the range I need. If you're a raccoon pissing me off, you're in range by definition. If you're more than 30 yards away, you're not on my roof ripping off the shingles. I'm happy to "live and let live". I ain't killing anything just because I can. Furthermore, let's imagine I have lots of fun target shooting and I use a bunch of nitro cartridges. I don't care. I'll pay for them. If i had a compressor, I'd not only have to pay for it, but I'd have to store it somewhere. I have lots of tools and bbq smokers and such. I don't need one more expensive thing to trip over. Like I said, I haven't fired it yet, but I'm sure it will work for me. I understand the passionate shooters that live to do this one thing, and how cost prohibitive it could be. I'm just an old guy that lives in the woods and sometimes I need to lay down the law with misguided varmints. I'm going to love this gun. I worked hard all my life and I will buy all the $11 cartridges I want. Hey, was that "pellgun" oil I saw you use? Thanks so much for the video ❤
