It only takes 45 sec to husk a coconut using a metal or wooden stick in the ground. This was a disappointment for a mechanical device.

@ Salimere Khorami - The mechanical device is truly a boon when dehusking a heap of Coconuts and especially, dry cocos which need tremendous force and pressure to get through its outer husk. Dehusking of a handful of coconuts on a Spike in the ground is passe but, when it comes to handling a heap, it takes the crap out of you, not to mention the immense strain on wrists, arms, back, heart and muscles. Consider also, the hot and balmy environment, where dehusking needs to be done.
