HOW TO Delete Old Emails In Gmail

"Select all conversations that match this search" does not pop up when you use the choose non star marked ones. :S Sucks I also have to delete all the important ones. :(

I'm not a techy person at all so I've never deleted my emails from gmail in the few years I've had this phone. I know once I almost figured it out but something happened so I wasn't able to do it and I did see months ago that I have over 100,000 emails. No, no, no. I have a family member who has several email addresses, and most of them apparently, are old. So, when I email her, I have no idea which address is her most current one, and, when I send her an email, I send it to ALL of her email addresses, which irritates her. So, she told me to get rid of this address, this address, and THIS address and to only use THIS address. So, my question is how do I delete email addresses that no one uses anymore and that I should NOT be using? Thank you.

still only deletes one page of 20 at a time. Doesn't select the 30,000 that are in there. I did "before: 2021/01/01!

If it was that easy I wouldn’t need help. There are no options to delete or move emails after searching except one at a time.

I clicked the dislike tab because like most youtube tech or channels when they explain how to do something or a step the video maker thinks everyone knows every little fine detail about the subject matter. As is in this video he takes for granite that everyone already knows how to get to the window that he's describing which in this case for me it left me wondering.
