I have a 2022 Cooper SE - is there a mold to accommodate the electronic-handbrake? as it is a very small lever compared to the traditional cable handbrake/"e-brake".

That is very likely a different part number if it exists. I unfortunately don't know the answer to this one. Perhaps a mini service/parts person could look it up if you explained carefully what you are looking for (and it might be a EU part and not a US one)

That’s a truly VERY VERY well made step-by-step-video of all the required disassembly and assembly - thx a lot for that!! I’m actually not unhappy with my armrest, I’m just wondering if I could somehow rise the I-drive controller up by a few centimeters… maybe 3d printed spacer ? Would the cable be long enough ?! Btw 2:06 it’s not a 13mm bolt rather a 13mm spanner / Hexhead screw that’s actually and M8 or 8mm bolt 😊

The cable should be plenty long enough to raise that up somehow with a 3d printed spacer

2015 Mini Cooper S Hatch. I really do find the armrest in the way even in the 'raised' position, and I think it would be a more elegant and ergonomic interior without. Thinking about it.

@@Aldik1980 Definitely a valid question. Most people wanting to do this will have a manual transmission. It gets in the way of your arm when shifting through gears. It also gets in the way of the parking brake, but I assume most people with an automatic will live with it and not remove the arm rest.

@@Aldik1980 I did this because I have a manual and it got in the way, I also rarely used it and just kept it in the up position all the time. So I’m happy it is gone.
