Thanks for the video. I noticed that your display is also going bad. The display on 2 of my units when bad, I'm on my third in less than half a year. Braun replaced them but it's a hassle. They reminded me that the warranty is from the date of the first one purchased. Needless to say, I won't buy another when this one fails.

Great vid! One question, I can’t find an answer to anywhere: do you know if the carafe comes apart? Or does only the hinged lid pop off? I feel like you should be able to clean between the lid of the carafe… 🤔

Is it possible to keep the hotplate on when brewing smaller batches? I notice even after descaling that the coffee isn't hot enough if I don't brew half pitcher or full

Not sure about this sorry. I need to do some more research into it.

The warming plate only activates on half or full carafe settings. All the other settings are for different cup sizes, which do not activate the warming plate.

There are black specks coming out in the clean water runs - is that normal?

Maybe, are these coffee grinds? or are they plastic? Coffee grind can get in the top part of where the hot water comes out and that might be what that is, if so then it would be ok,

Unplug it for a about 15min.

I’ve also emptied the reservoir when I accidentally hit that clean button and the machine finished cleaning way faster.

The discale button is close to the daily operational buttons... If you are Ina. Hury and by any chance you pressed the Descaling button you will be stuck in there for 25 min w/o coffee because there's no way to cancel this cycle. Who the f designed this like that... I'm about to take a screw driver to destroy the cleaning button so I can use it w/o any worries.
