Came across your channel and huge thank you for the tutorial above. One question though - is there a reason you had to open the template again when creating the inside? Could you not use the first one and just hide the number one layer etc? Apologies if it is a dumb question but once again, many thanks for your channel.

Thank you. Is there a way to include front side and back side in one file to that I can print them on both sides of a page? Or do I have to merge both pdf for that purpose?

Great tutorial. Thanks a lot! But do you think printers can give us desired output with the PDF files?

One more great tutorial, thank you. I like to ask you if there is a reason why you always open pictures separately and then copy them in to the design, and not open them directly as a layer? And one suggestion, you can lock layers together and then move them as one unit - like some text paragraphs - just click right from the eye in the layers panel so that the chain appears and chains them together.

Hey Anton - I guess that's just the way I've always done it. And yes, the feature you described is called the "Transform Lock." It's a great feature! I talk about it in my "5 Things You Didn't Know GIMP Could Do" tutorial. Thanks for the comment!

OK, I understand :). Thank you Davies. I'm learning a lot from your tutorials. They make GIMP a very attractive and useful tool. Best wishes.

I followed the tuts and built a great looking brochure. the only problem is my print out is extremely blurred. Not sure if there's a way to make tit print sharper. Increasing print resolution decreases the size of the example you showed us in this tutorial. I was told the minimum size a for a great resolution print should be 10,800px by 7200px .. am I missing something?

When I try to move the guides I no longer need, the layer I am on moves not the guide line.

I am trying to make folded cards with my illustrations...everyone goes so fast it's hard to follow is there another way to show me.
@DaviesMediaDesign6 жыл бұрын
What kind of cards are you trying to make? There is always the option to schedule a GIMP personal training session. More info on that here: www.daviesmediadesign.com/gimp-personal-training/

HI Dave, thank you for the quick reply. I am an illustrator and design cards and put them to other items. I have gimp and know quite a lot about computers. However, it takes me time to learn I've always been a one on one person when learning and look to find someone who goes a bit slower. I will check out your link. Actually it would be easier for me to have someone do this part for me. Finding someone who doesn't charge a lot is difficult as I am a one man small business.
