Yes, you can earn money as a freelance graphic designer, and whether you are using a smartphone or laptop doesn't really matter as long as you have mastered the art. By that, I mean your designs have to be "top-notch" to attract clients. So my advice is get started, learn and master the art, and while you are at it, begin building your AUDIENCE-let people KNOW you are a designer by posting your works no matter how bad you think they are (practice makes progress). Notice I didn't say "start looking for paid jobs", your goal as a NEWBIE shouldn't be to make money even though you should have that in mind to keep you motivated. What you should do is "volunteer" to help the [small] brands you know with their flyers, at least they won't complain if your work isn't too great. But this will not just speed up your growth as a designer, it will also get you into the EXPERIENCE mode preparing you for works where you will be paid.

Sorry about that. Kindly use an EARPHONE if you can, I tried it and the voice over is better. Moreover, the directions I added with the brush tool still points to what I said. But if you can, watch with an EARPHONE connected.
