For some reason I can't fillet the bottom left side of the spokes. I'm not sure if my dimensions are wrong or if something is going on with one of the edges. The wheel looks fine in general. Any ideas?
@MADAboutDesigns5 жыл бұрын
May be 2 reasons. 1. Fillet radius is high 2. You are filleting without combing the bodies
@joeguzman83965 жыл бұрын
@@MADAboutDesigns Thanks for the reply. I used the same fillet radius as you stated in your video. I also combined the bodies.

In AutoCAD CAD stands for drafting.. it is mainly used for 2 d drawings & simple 3d designs

Where did you get the dimensions from? Where can we get the 2D draft diagrams for dimensions?

I'm sure you can find some in google. I found some blueprints of car parts that i need replacing and I'm going to model them to size then take them to my cnc so i can machine them. I think there is some websites you can go to as well but i do not know the name of them

Your work is good on CAD. But i have a doubt? How do you take the dimensions with ease? I mean how do you know what length of line to take and at what angle? Is that all in your mind or what?

omg I have followed from 5:23 to 7:30 15 god damn times and my profile keeps ending up past thew god damn 68mm vertical line!~!!! So I can not match your profile!!!!! It would help if you showed the god damn final thing in one shot so I can see where I went astray!!!

Sorry for the rant. I figured it out. Your tut was fine. When I did the 120mm by 135 deg extrusion I did not measure the angle from the 60mm line bu a horiontal line from the end point so I caused the resulting line to be rotated clockwise. when I fixed the angle everything worked fine. Thanks for replying.@@MADAboutDesigns

your make the vertical line 68 mm from tyhe top point of the projected line. Then you make a 4.5 mm line horizontal from the top point of the projected curve. Then you make a 60mm line at 100deg. Then you make a 120mm line at 135deg. You are now 1.93mm past the god damn vertical line you put 68 mm from the top projected point!!!!~ OMFG~! what the hell!!!!!????
@ctbram06274 жыл бұрын
nm I fixed it. the line at 135deg somehow got measure from a horizontal line at the end of the 60mm line instead of and the angle between the 60mm and 120mm lines which rotated the entire thing ccw about 35deg which ended up correctly matching your profile. Sorry for going nuts but I looked at it a dozen times and had to walk away from a while then look at it again with fresh eyes.
